Julie Chen Admits Eye Surgery to Look Less Chinese

This story is so disturbing I felt physically ill after watching the video below (I’m serious). In a series of revelations on ‘The Talk,’ Chen admitted to having had eye surgery to make herself “look less Chinese” after advice from a Hollywood agent. She closed by saying “No one is more proud of being Chinese than I am,” and her co-panelists provided unconditional support. In related news, has everyone lost their mind? If someone told me to reduce the size of my schnoz to look “less Jewish,” I’d blast him. And since the shape of Chen’s eyes are unequivocally equated with her heritage, my example is not even nearly as bad. Dear God this is shocking.
