To quote my Torts law professor, “one doesn’t need to intend the HARM, only the ACTION.” And in the case of Nikki Minaj’s new “Only” lyric video, she guilty of intent. She released a lyric video with blatant Nazi imagery, and though her team is attempting to dodge the backlash by blaming the director, every artist is responsible for their brand, and if Minaj missed the imagery, that’s not only embarrassing, it’s sad. I’m guessing that the vision was based on the authoritative elements of the lyrics, and nothing says authority like burning Jews in ovens, right? Watch the video below.
