Donald Trump v. Matt Laeur: Today Show Throwdown

If Donald Trump is going to run for President, then he should be more responsible. And if this political run is more about personal promotion than being Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces, then I’d encourage him to back out now, because he’s making a mockery of a process that is already cartoonish. According to Trump, the media has twisted his original words, using a clip of his statement that John McCain is “not a war hero,” and leaving out the end of his comment, in which he stated that he was a war hero. The comment in question is clear as day, despite Trumps desire to squash the subsequent tirade. We are responsible for our words, and he should know better.

I am unafraid to admit that I’ve been a longtime Donald Trump fan, having loyally watched The Apprentice since it’s inception and being a die-hard Howard Stern listener, where Trump has often been a very entertaining guest. What I’ve always admired about Trump his his ability to speak his mind with a side of humor, and his ownership of his own antics. But what I have always known about Trump he is unequivocally unable to accept criticism. When attacked, Trump will drop a hammer on an ant, breaking his arm in the process. There has been many examples of this, including Martha Stewart and Bill Maher, where Trump acted like a petulant child in need of a teet. When his ego is penetrated and his feelings are hurt, he will escalate his response to the point of his own demise. In the case of John McCain, that’s exactly what happened. McCain insulted Trump, and Trump’s disproportionate response has incited a firestorm.

It’s safe to say I’ve revoked my Donald Trump support in the entertainment sphere (I never supported his political run). I will no longer watch his shows or support his business ventures. If he chooses to reform, perhaps I’ll reconsider. Until then, our relationship has ended. Watch his interview with Matt Laeur below.

Robert Downey Jr. Walks Out on Interview: WATCH NOW

Press interviews are for pop-tart style questions, and any attempt for a heroic exclusive in that three-minute period is more about the interviewer’s desperation than a search for actual answers. When Robert Downey Jr. entered his rotational junket to promote The Avengers: Age of Ultron, he certainly didn’t expect a “Diane Sawyer” style inquisition. As a result, the only thing Krishnan Guru-Murthy accomplished was a bold walk-out from a seasoned pro sans any answers. Good job, clown. Maybe next time you’ll take the first two cues from your talent and change course. You’re no Howard Stern.

David Arquette’s Has On-Air, Howard Stern Meltdown

For years I was under the impression that David Arquette needed to be set free from the clutches of Courtney Cox, but judging by his post-divorce behavior, perhaps that prison was necessary. While he’s a welcome Howard Stern guest, his recent antics are troubling. The issues began when Stern insisted it might be too soon for Arquette to remarry and Arquette took offense. The concern culminated when Stern saw Cox in Los Angeles at Jimmy Kimmel’s house instead of calling Arquette. Marriage is theoretically supposed to be a happy experience. If the man can’t even feign happiness during the first few weeks, then he has far bigger issues than Howard Stern’s disloyalty. And furthermore has Howard Stern learned nothing from Artie Lange? This is slowly moving from wack-pack to nervous breakdown.

Jimmy Kimmel Stole J.B. Smoove’s Double-Eye-Patch Joke: WATCH NOW

J.B. Smoove’s standout comedic style is currently unmatched, and he’s most notably proved his place in the industry with his frequent, hilarious Howard Stern appearances. During one such appearance Smoove recounted many of his rejected SNL sketches that resulted in Smoove being known as the “pitch king” by his peers. Stern and Smoove surmised that the sketches got axed because they can only be executed Smoove himself. When Smoove returned to Stern for today’s interview, he indicated many of those mentioned jokes were stolen, most notably his “pirate-with-a-double-eye-patch” sketch. Shockingly, it was Jimmy Kimmel that stole the joke. After intense research, I found the stolen sketch which, as predicted, is not as funny without Smoove. Watch below to see Kimmel’s ‘Movie the Movie 2V’ from 2013, in which Kimmel simulates a stupid film trailer in a post-Oscar parody.

Gwyneth Paltrow on Howard Stern: Talks Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, & Chris Martin

Gwyneth Paltrow’s PR team just scored a major win with her appearance on Howard Stern, because the notoriously uptight A-lister finally let her hair down for a revealing, fun chat. She also reflected on her close relationship with her father and her dad’s devastation over her Brad breakup. Listen to a very entertaining hour below.

Kim Kardashian is Butt Ass Naked — Paper Magazine Cover

kardashian13f-1-web

The irony of Kim Kardashian’s now infamous pose on the cover of Paper Magazine is that upon first glance, I thought she was standing inside a trash bag. And while I don’t usually demean others for sport, that note is fitting. To quote the great Howard Stern, she’s managed to maneuver her “career” into being “the most famous porn star in history,” considering her entire being is based on a sex tape. This picture is certainly provocative, and her brand is based on sex, so that’s also fitting. Moreover, the oiled-up look is a porn-based preference (don’t ask me how I know that), so I imagine she had some input into the creative decision. But hey — she’s laughing all the way to the bank (injections or not . . . allegedly).
