Jim Carrey v. Tommy Lee Jones: On Set Feud Revealed

Jim Carrey visited Howard Stern and amongst his many revelations was a little nugget of gold about his on-set tension with the notoriously bad-tempered Tommy Lee Jones. According to Carrey, Jones made it clear that he “Could not condone [Carrey’s] buffoonery.” Jones is a general go-to example of unruly celebrity behavior, and the video below with Billy Bush says it all. Enjoy both.

Joan Rivers Passes Away at 81 — We’ve Lost an Icon

We lost the legendary Joan Rivers today, and the world just got a little bit less funny. The iconic comedian worked until her very last day, and I’m told by a close friend who saw her just days before her death that she was in great spirits, happy, and incredibly friendly. She celebrated the sunset of her life with the same fervor as her first act, extending her brand to Fashion Police, which gained her a new crop of young fans. She also caused constant controversy for which she was unapologetic, rightfully refusing to retract for her jokes. Rivers was fearless, bold, hilarious, and kind, and I’m devastated. Celebrate her life by listening to her last Howard Stern interview from just one month ago. Enjoy below.

Robin Thicke Debuts “Get Her Back” — Desperate Please for Paula Patton

It’s difficult to empathize with Robin Thicke’s romantic plight, especially when his unforgivable antics were so public. His marriage ended shortly after Thicke was seen “handling” the ass of a gross groupie, which was immediately followed by some questionable photos that also aroused suspicion of infidelity. Furthermore, Thicke proudly declared his taste for threesomes on Howard Stern, insisting that both he and Patton made the most of their marriage. Now, Thicke is using the spotlight to plea for Patton’s return, a request I can only meet with a gigantic yawn. As for the desperate video below with the Patton lookalike, let’s just say there’s not many women on the planet as beautiful as Paula Patton. Good luck, Robin.

Roseanne Barr Visits Howard Stern — LISTEN NOW

Roseanne Barr stopped by Sirius satellite radio for an interview with Howard Stern to promote Last Comic Standing, and she did not disappoint. Barr was incredibly candid about the behind-the-scenes drama associated with her former hit show, along with the annoying executives who tanked her most recent efforts for a new television project. According to Barr, “When they tell you you’re a genius, it means you’re going to get f-d in the ass.” Stern also asked for her take on many of the most-coveted comedians, and she was honest with her answers. According to Barr, “Any guy who does one tenth of what [a woman does] gets ten times the praise.” Tune in below for the full interview, and for more of Howard Stern, visit HOWARD 100.

Emma Haslam on Britain’s Got Talent — Reinvents Stripping

Howard Stern has often emphasized the irrelevance of a stripper pole, claiming that acrobatic moves are not sexy, and no one wants to see a hot chick suspended in air. His objection can only be referenced by the video below, which shows an overweight woman by the name of Emma Haslam executing some shocking stripper moves. And though I’ll certainly be attacked for saying it, if I want to see women strut their “stuff” sans any body issues, I’ll go to my local locker room. Those chicks are most definitely “fearless.”

Jonah Hill Apologizes — Listen to Howard Stern Interview

Though it’s hard to believe for non-listeners, Howard Stern is the person to see to kill all controversy. Jonah Hill visited the King of all Media to promote his new film and Stern immediately addressed the “elephant in the room.” Because Stern’s long-format allows for conversation instead of brief sound bites, it’s easy to identify Hill’s true regret over his “homophobic slur.” And while I certainly don’t condone his rant, I also don’t condone harassing paparazzi who yell offensive things until a celebrity snaps. We all have a breaking point. Listen below.

David Letterman Retires — Should Zach Galifianakis Replace Him?

After much research, many projections, and endless suggestions, I’ve personally picked the perfect replacement for David Letterman. Zach Galifianakis is the only option that fits. He’s young, he’s fresh, he’s innovative, and most importantly — he’s hilarious. His ‘Funny or Die’ sketch with President Obama solidified his high-status success, and his down-to-earth, every-man presentation makes him more unique than his competitors. As for the other names being thrown around, I’ll take a moment to tell you why they won’t work.*

1. Howard Stern — He’s a radio legend, but Stern himself has complained about network restrictions, and the man is at his best in a free-spoken format. Plus, if it ain’t broke . . .

2. Chelsea Handler — Chelsea is too niche a host to survive in a prime-time format. She’s certainly a strong choice, but her mass appeal is questionable.

3. Craig Ferguson — Not funny enough (sorry, Craig).

4. Chris Rock — Much like Howard Stern, this format is far too restrictive for Rock’s imagination.

5. Louis C.K. — Maybe. But probably not.

6. Conan — One and done. His brand became tarnished with the late-night debacle, and his opportunity on the main stage is now compromised.

7. Jay Leno — NO. JUST NO.

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT.

*EDITOR’S NOTE: Zach Galifianakis was actually my brother’s idea, but don’t all the best artists steal?

George Lopez on Howard Stern: Talks Conan O’Brien & Slams TBS

George Lopez visited Howard Stern today, and the comedy legend revealed some massive secrets behind the infamous late-night war between Conan O’Brien and Jay Leno. While Conan is often thought to be the greatest casualty of the fiery feud, Lopez brought to light something I’ve said from the start. Conan O’Brien is just as guilty as Jay Leno. First, O’Brien took Lopez’s time slot and his dismal ratings meant he was a poor lead-in for Lopez. According to Lopez, he had no say in the decision, and though he was publicly accepting, TBS forced his hand. TBS also asked Lopez to call Conan to convince him to take the job, another move Lopez felt forced to make. Lopez also slammed David Hudson, the SVP of late night and specials, who consistently called-out Lopez’s creative choices, despite “never having sold a comedy ticket in his life.”

It’s insane that Conan came out clean in the Tonight Show feud, especially since the entire debacle began when he pressured NBC to sack Leno, which would be considered evil in any other non-entertainment profession. Plus, he simply didn’t have the ratings. Sure he had a weak lead-in, but if that’s the case, then it’s even further proof of his hypocrisy regarding George Lopez. Listen to Lopez’s very honest account below.

Jerry O’Connell Spoofs Shia LaBeouf — #IAMFAMOUSTOO

JERRY OCONNELLJerry O’Connell’s unique sense of humor has long been Hollywood’s hidden secret. In fact, I didn’t fully notice until his frequent Howard Stern appearances, where the very funny man had free reign to shine. O’Connell’s most recent brilliance comes in the form of Funny or Die, which will film his new art exhibit called, #IAMSORRYTOO. The exhibit sits beside Shia LaBeouf’s competing endeavor, called, #IAMSORRY, which entails LaBeouf’s woeful attempt at an apology to Daniel Clowes, whose work he plagiarized. LaBeouf sits inside an empty room with a paper bag over his head that reads, “I am not famous.” He also has a table of items, which seem to represent different aspects of his “career,” including a Transformers toy. As for O’Connell, his paper bag says “Super Famous,” and one of his items is a DVD of Stand By Me. When asked about LaBeouf’s possible response, O’Connell said, “The only thing we’re fearing is that Shia, who I don’t know personally, is known to fly off the handle. I just need fair warning if he comes storming in here for a bagged man on bagged man fight because I can’t see out of this paper bag . . . I just need warning to take cover.”
