The irony of Kim Kardashian’s now infamous pose on the cover of Paper Magazine is that upon first glance, I thought she was standing inside a trash bag. And while I don’t usually demean others for sport, that note is fitting. To quote the great Howard Stern, she’s managed to maneuver her “career” into being “the most famous porn star in history,” considering her entire being is based on a sex tape. This picture is certainly provocative, and her brand is based on sex, so that’s also fitting. Moreover, the oiled-up look is a porn-based preference (don’t ask me how I know that), so I imagine she had some input into the creative decision. But hey — she’s laughing all the way to the bank (injections or not . . . allegedly).
