Monster High Launches Lady Gaga Doll, “Zomby Gaga”
Mattel’s Monster High brand teamed up with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation to launch the “Zomby Gaga” addition to the Monster High brand of fashion dolls. The collaboration is meant to promote kindness, bravery, and acceptance and the doll is in Lady Gaga’s likeness. Monster High was launched by Mattel as a brand of fashion dolls that brings to life the children of famous monsters such as “Frankie Stein,™ who is the daughter of Frankenstein, Draculaura™, who is a descendant of Dracula and their ghoulfriends. Monster High encourages students to celebrate their differences, and the brand is currently a $1 billion property. The Gaga pairing therefore makes sense, as the Born This Way Foundation works with 50 non-profit organizations to help young people around the world.
