I actually feel sorry for Gotye. He just doesn’t get it. When you get your hands on fame, you’ve got a very limited amount of time to navigate it. And over-exposure will sink your ship. So when I heard he’s releasing a digital album with ten different versions of “Somebody That I Used to Know,” I wanted to make a personal phone call to his manager for the poor decision. Sure it’s a great song, but unfortunately, it might be the only one people ever hear.
