Sam Smith quietly settled a lawsuit with Tom Petty over “Stay With Me,” with Tom’s team suggesting an undeniable overlap with Full Moon Fever’s “I Won’t Back Down.” Smith’s team acknowledged the similarites but claims it’s simply a coincidence.
