Evan Rachel Wood says that Kate Winslet convinced her that getting naked for her new film, Mildred Place, was the right thing to do, saying, “it’ll be great,” and “you’ll be happy you’ve done it.” I’m glad that Kate Winslet is putting her Oscar to good use by mentoring young woman on acting. If she keeps this up, perhaps she can get an entire theater class to take their clothes off. May I just say that I’ve never seen a movie with nudity that I didn’t find off-putting and distracting. That goes for men, as well as women. Jason Segel, for example, showed his penis in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and I was traumatized. If you think I’m exaggerating, Netflix the film, and you’ll see what I mean. I was even put-off by Marissa Tomei’s nudity in The Wrestler, as I spent the rest of the film wondering how hard I would have to work out to have her body, and became extremely depressed when I realized it would be impossible. Needless to say, the film was ruined.
