I realize that Cindy Crawford’s daughter is modeling Versace’s “children’s line,” but no child I know dresses like that. She’s being sexualized in a short skirt, and furthermore, I find it deplorable that the fashion industry uses child models because anorexia is much more easily averted when using prepubescent kids. Since they haven’t reached maturity, they don’t have to starve themselves yet — right? When I was ten years old, I played in a cardboard box that I insisted was a rocket ship. This is just sad.
You disapprove of them using children as models because they don’t have to starve themselves? So, you would feel better if it was an underfed 18 year old in those clothes?
