Jenny McCarthy Makes her View Debut — How’d She Do?
Months before Jenny McCarthy got her job on The View, I tweeted the show asking that they make her a permanent panelist. It’s clear she was being courted amongst other potential candidates, but she stood out. She’s relaxed, open, seasoned, and most of all — not contentious. And given that Jenny doesn’t do well without barriers, this is the perfect format to reign in her rebellious side. The View is meant to be a nice relief, so it’s a breath of fresh air to lose the always on-edge Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who was constantly at war with her co-hosts. In another format, perhaps Hasselbeck will shine. But in this one — it’s McCarthy’s game. Watch a clip of her first show below.
