Conan O’Brien Launches 30-City Comedy Tour

This is great news for O’Brien fans.  He is bringing his show on the road, beginning on April 12th.  O’Brien tweeted the news, saying “Hey Internet: I’m headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour.”  The cities so far include: Seattle; San Francisco; Vancouver; Los Angeles; NYC; Chicago.  More cities to come!

Gossip Girl Spoiler: Blair Waldorf’s Eating Disorder will Return

When I heard this story, I had to search my memory for when she had an eating disorder.  I think it was in Season 1.  Executive Producer Stephanie Savage has now confirmed that there will be a subtle reference to Blair’s eating disorder resurfacing (no pun intended).

Gaborey Sidibe is in Showtime’s ‘The Big C’

Sidibe will appear in the new series, as a student in Laura Linney’s class.  Linney will lead the series, where she will play a teacher dealing with terminal cancer.  Wow, didn’t I already post about the overflow of projects related to cancer?  This show is being called a “dark comedy.”  Any interest?

Evan Rachel Wood Drops Out of the ‘Spider-man’ Musical

It appears that Evan Rachel Wood got some good career advice.  She was set to play Mary Jane in ‘Spider-man, Turn Off the Dark,” but she recently dropped out due to “scheduling conflicts.”  Translation?  She got cold feet because she realized that turning Spider-man into a musical might be the worst idea ever.

Samantha Harris v. Brooke Burke: Harris says she can Return to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ if she wants

Samantha Harris was pretty cryptic in a recent interview, saying “who knows what the future holds,” and “for season 10” of DWTS, she “want[ed] to focus on ‘The Insider.'”  Since Brooke Burke has been named the new host, I wonder if Samantha Harris is having buyer’s remorse.  After all, ‘The Insider’ is the worst show on television.  Perhaps this is her way of telling Burke not to get too comfortable.  Am I reading to much into it?

Fox Will Likely Cancel ’24’

As I previously reported, Kiefer’s Sutherland’s contract is up, and Fox still has not renewed ’24’ for a ninth season.  Now Radar Online is reporting that Fox will announce the end of the series tomorrow.  The costs of the show are increasing and the ratings are decreasing, which is the perfect formula for canceling a show.

Jon Stewart and Bush Speechwriter have War of the Words

Marc Thiessen, a Bush speechwriter, went to ‘The Daily Show’ to promote his book. Probably not the best move for him. Jon Stewart made me proud. Thiessen has a series of outlandish claims in the interview. Here are a couple: he claims the the lawyers representing the terrorists are equivalent to terrorists themselves, and that Obama has made the country less safe due to his stance on torture and terrorism. Watch the exchange below.
