The Dishmaster has a Monday night ritual of drooling over Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Dancing With the Stars. He’s just so damn beautiful. And last night was a special treat, because the man wore glasses. I sure do love a hot nerd. Watch below.

Cheryl Burke and William Levy Dance the Rumba — Hot & Steamy!
I have to give Cheryl Burke some major credit. If William Levy was my partner, I’d probably choreograph the sexiest routine in the history of Dancing With the Stars too. It just make sense. Here’s how I imagine that conversation went: “William, please put your hand on my ass for the entirety of the routine. Don’t question me! That’s exactly how you dance the rumba!” Watch below.
Cheryl Burke & William Levy Dance Argentine Tango — Kill It!
The Argentine Tango has always been my favorite dance on Dancing With the Stars, and Cheryl Burke is one of my favorite professional dancers who doesn’t get the credit she deserves. She gets the best out of her partners, and her choreography is complicated without being over-the-top. And it doesn’t hurt that William Levy is not only talented, but he’s easy on the eyes. They easily stole the night with the Argentine Tango. Watch below.
Maksim & Melissa Dance the Salsa — Maksim is Shirtless
Every week that Dancing With the Stars airs I get an inevitable call from my mother, which involves an endless monologue about Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s hotness. “Mother,” I say, “I know, I know. What do you want me to do about it?” But this week was particularly different, and I’m forced to jump on board my mother’s drooling train. Not only did the man dance a very sexy salsa routine — but he also had his shirt open the entire time. Did I mention he was covered in sweat? Alright, I must stop now. Watch below, and note how the judges never have anything nice to say about him no matter how good his routine. It’s tough being beautiful.
Barbara Walters on Samantha Brick: “She’s Not that Beautiful”
There isn’t much to say about the Samantha Brick story other than she is a very annoying woman who wrote a very annoying article for The Daily Mail about all the attention she gets for being beautiful. Backlash ensued, and then the ladies of The View chimed in. Now comes the good part. After telling the producer to put Brick’s picture back up on the monitor, Walters cut Brick with just one simple sentence, saying, “She’s not that beautiful.” And my other favorite part of this story came from a random commenter on another blog who said, “This is just proof that an American 10 is a British 5.” Click here to watch Walters in action.
DWTS: William Levy’s Son Steals the Show!
Rosie O’Donnell v. Oprah — Is Oprah at Fault for the Canceled Show?
There’s one thing I know for certain about Rosie O’Donnell — she’s not a failure — so the fact that her show failed indicates other variables at play. After reading what’s been deemed as an “unflattering” article in The Daily Beast about what went down, I’m even more convinced of my aforementioned assertion. I will give a brief summary of the most important points in the very long article for my readers-on-the-go.
First, when Rosie’s show debuted it was a critical success. But the ratings didn’t match its praise. That’s likely because it had a daytime format with a nighttime time-slot. Because Rosie didn’t know it would air at night, she was forced to make last minute show-changes. With its waning success, the network asked that she relocate to Chicago, which made it an enormous challenge to book high-powered guests who don’t visit Chicago on their press-tour. Additionally, since OWN flies their talent coach, it made it even more challenging to convince A-listers to make the trip. She was also forced to hire the HARPO staff (i.e. Oprah’s team), and since Rosie is a notorious perfectionist who didn’t make the hires, it’s no surprise that they didn’t gel. When the ratings continued to decline, OWN made suggestions that Rosie enacted, which further tanked the ratings.
In short, I’m confident Rosie would have succeeded with her original format on another network. OWN has been struggling for some time now, and the network put an enormous amount of pressure on Rosie as its saving grace while taking no responsibility for its failure. Rosie had one of the most successful daytime shows in history, and she completely revived The View (though The View will never admit that). She’s a force.
Dancing With the Stars — Jaleel White Makes His Television Comeback
I’ve had a crush on Jaleel White ever since he removed his suspenders on Family Matters. In fact, I’ve snooped around town to ask whether he’s a nice guy, and sources tell me he’s not only nice, he’s also smart, and contrary other child stars, he never blew all that money he made from the show. He shed some light on his lengthy stint as Steve Urkel in a recent Vanity Fair interview, saying, “It’s not overly sophisticated, man. I’m the highest-paid black kid in the history of television, just so you understand that. I was trying to prolong the checks! For all of the people who want to scratch their heads about this . . . we’re probably the second-longest-running African American show in the history of television.” Perhaps the child stars of today’s generation should take notes. Watch his great performance below.
Dancing With the Stars Debuts — Katherine Jenkins Steals the Show
They should just hand Katherine Jenkins the mirror ball trophy now. She’s not only a great dancer, but she also has the personality necessity to win over the audience. She’s adorable, sweet, and beautiful. And since she’s a classical singer — she’s also talented. Can I marry her? I realize this is a game and everyone competes for the prize, but she’s got it in the bag. Watch below.
