Maksim Leaves Dancing With the Stars — Was He Fired?
If there’s anything I know about the entertainment industry, it’s that executives are not kind about letting you out of your contract to do “other work,” especially when it might hurt their ratings. While I know nothing about Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s contract, rumor has it he’s tied up until 2015, which means his option for this season was not exercised. My guess is he’s a pain in the ass and ABC has had it. My theory is especially curious, considering many of the well-known professional dancers are not returning. That being said, Maksim was one of my favorites, and I’m sad to see him go. Here’s hoping he returns someday.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy Waltzes Into My Fantasy-Man-List
I think most women would agree that there is nothing hotter than a man in a white Hanes T-shirt. I also think most women would agree that it doesn’t get hotter than Maksim Chmerkovskiy. You know a man has exceeded The Dishmaster’s hotness scale when I find myself making bold declarations like, “I deserve him.” The Dishmaster will persevere! Dancing With the Stars All-Star Edition — Exes From Hell?
The greatest thing about ABC’s decision to use all-stars for next season of Dancing With the Stars is the idea of celebrities returning to their ex boyfriends and girlfriends for the competition. Though it’s a long shot, perhaps Mario Lopez will be paired with Karina Smirnoff, Sabrina Bryan will reunite with Mark Ballas, Derek Hough will reconnect with Shannon Elizabeth, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy can pair up with Willa Ford or Erin Andrews. This is going to be good.

Maksim & Melissa Dance the Salsa — Maksim is Shirtless
Every week that Dancing With the Stars airs I get an inevitable call from my mother, which involves an endless monologue about Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s hotness. “Mother,” I say, “I know, I know. What do you want me to do about it?” But this week was particularly different, and I’m forced to jump on board my mother’s drooling train. Not only did the man dance a very sexy salsa routine — but he also had his shirt open the entire time. Did I mention he was covered in sweat? Alright, I must stop now. Watch below, and note how the judges never have anything nice to say about him no matter how good his routine. It’s tough being beautiful.
Dancing With the Stars Season 14 Cast Revealed — Maksim Returns!
ABC revealed the new cast for Dancing With the Stars, and it’s already clear this will be a great season. First, despite all of the controversy he caused last year, Maksim Chmerkovskiy will return to the show. That’s good news considering he’s pretty much the only reason I watch. Second, there are some good stars this year, including Jaleel White (better known as “Steve Urkel”). Since I’ve been complaining that Dancing With the Stars has become a career launcher rather than a career salvager, that is also good news. Maksim Chmerkovskiy Delivers Toys to Los Angeles Children’s Hospital
Maksim Chmerkovskiy has recieved a significant amount of heat in the press lately for his Dancing With the Stars behavior, so I thought it only fair to report on his positive actions. He visited the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital to deliver toys and books to the children involved in dance therapy. I’m told he also danced with the patients in the Mark Taper-Johnny Mercer Artists Program, which is dedicated to bringing art to critically and chronically ill children, teens, and families. The donated toys were collected by Cost Plus World Market, as a part of the Share the Joy program. As an aside, would it be wrong to point out how hot Maksim looks in the pictures below? Inappropriate?

Maksim & Hope Skip DWTS Post-Show Interviews — Did ABC Ban Them?
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Hope Solo skipped their Dancing With the Stars post elimination tour, and I have a feeling ABC had something to do with it. Though there’s speculation that Solo and Chmerkovskiy are “sore losers” for their absence on Jimmy Kimmel and Good Morning America, it’s likely that these post-elimination appearances were built into their contract, which means they are either in breach, or ABC decided that their sour attitude would make for bad publicity. The latter makes more sense. It’s also startling that Chmerkovskiy feels so comfortable soiling his status with ABC, especially considering his per-episode payday. Given the headache he’s caused the show, I would not be surprised if he wasn’t picked-up for next season. Here’s hoping he’s saved his money.
Dancing With the Stars Team Paso Doble — Derek Hough Rescues Hope Solo
I like a feisty man, but after watching Maksim Chmerkovskiy man-handle Hope Solo during the Team Paso Doble practice, I’ve officially changed my ‘Dancing With the Stars’ crush to Derek Hough. When Maksim disturbingly tossed Hope around during what seemed like a temper tantrum, Derek Hough interjected to teach her the step. It’s particularly interesting because Maksim recently attributed Derek’s insane success on the show to his talented partners, saying that if he was given the same partners, he’d be just as good. Perhaps Maksim should watch the video below and then apologize to Derek Hough. It seems like the only person in Maksim’s way is Maksim.
