Maksim Chmerkovskiy v. Len Goodman — It’s War

Though I’d love for the very yummy Maksim Chmerkovskiy to show me that feisty temper in the privacy of my bedroom, it doesn’t fit on Dancing With the Stars. When Len Goodman insulted his Rumba, Maksim riled the audience and promoted their boos, which incited Len Goodman’s rage. Maksim then said that the professional dancers “kill themselves only to hear judgmental comments.” First, what did Maksim think he signed up for? This is a dancing show, and there are three judges on the panel that are paid to actually judge his dance. Second, it’s supposed to be fun. And he’s not being very fun. Third, his Rumba was terrible. Hope looked awkward and it had zero sex appeal. Did he expect a standing ovation? And finally, please don’t vote him off. He’s just too damn beautiful to look at every week.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Dating Cheryl Burke — Huh?

I’m constantly editing my celebrities-I’d-like-to-ba*g-list, and I often fantasize that at the right club in Los Angeles, I could possibly land some of these very attractive men. One of those contenders is the spicy hot Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who is so good-looking he actually hurts my eyes. As it turns out, I might be able to land him after all. Maksim was spotted making out with Cheryl Burke at a club, and though I think Cheryl Burke is a very beautiful woman — let’s just say we are of the same vain. I find their hookup especially curious, since Maksim went on record insulting Cheryl’s weight, and Cheryl fired back, saying that the pressure to be thin from her “colleagues” was hurtful. I guess he got over it — and so did she.

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy — Best Freestyle on Dancing With the Stars

Kirstie Alley is my favorite contestant in the history of Dancing With the Stars. The goal of the show is to find someone that you can watch progress throughout the season, and Kirstie Alley embodied that. Plus, she’s lost so much weight in such a short period of time, I find myself doing cartwheels in her honor. On tonight’s finale, Kirstie and Maks stole the night with their freestyle. It’s not that it was the most technically perfect, it just had the most heart. It also doesn’t hurt that Maks is an Adonis of beauty. Seriously — he hurts my eyes.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Kirstie Alley Take a Fall on DWTS

Just when you thought Maksim Chmerkovskiy was an invincible Superman-like dancer, think again.  On tonight’s Dancing With the Stars, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy tripped mid-dance and fell to the floor.  Maksim blamed it on himself, saying, “his leg just gave out,” and Kirstie assured him that he need not apologize.  If these two weren’t already my favorite dancers on the show, they certainly are now.  It’s incredible that they immediately got back up and Maksim danced through his very obvious pain.  Did I mention that Maksim was wearing a very revealing shirt tonight?  That certainly helps with my overall assessment — not that I’m biased or anything. Watch below.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Premieres — Kirstie Alley Rocks the House

Just when I thought there would be no one to root for on Dancing With the Stars this season, Kirstie Alley shocked me.  I knew she’d be worth watching, but I had no idea she’d be incredible.  Her performance with Maksim Chmerkovskiy was the best of the night, and they actually had surprising sexual chemistry.  I use the word “surprising,” because I never thought Maksim and Kirstie would get along, given that they are both strong personalities.  I suppose it makes sense though.  Maksim needs someone to slap him around and compensate for his sometimes awkward interview demeanor.  Did I mention that Kirstie looks hot?  Can someone sign me up for their workout routine?  Watch below.

Brandy and Maksim Eliminated From DWTS — I’m not Surprised

Bristol Palin is inhaling a shit-storm of criticism for staying on Dancing With the Stars despite more successful dancers getting eliminated.  Many blame the tea party for inflating votes, but I actually think voters got it right.  If the competition was based solely on dancing ability, I could understand the outrage.  But it’s not.  It’s based on dancing ability, improvement, and personality.  Brandy and Maksim both lacked the third element.  Maksim is excessively arrogant, often talking back to the judges.  For goodness sakes, he even defended slapping Brandy on the ass as part of his incredible teaching ability!  You can’t win a voter-based competition and act like an ass. So congratulations Bristol — you deserve to be there.

Audrina Patridge Eliminated Early From DWTS — I Blame Tony Dovolani

Every single time someone prematurely gets eliminated from a television competition, people speculate that viewers assumed the contestant would be safe, and therefore didn’t vote.  This conspiracy theory includes Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani, who were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars, despite Audrina’s very obvious talent as a dancer.  So what’s the real reason she was eliminated?  Well, it isn’t just about talent alone, and I’m surprised I have to explain this after so many seasons of the show.  It’s about the personality of both the professional dancer and the celebrity, and without a strong combination, they’re doomed.  There’s a reason that the same professionals win every year, and it isn’t luck.  On Monday’s show, Tony Dovolani further confirmed his disdain for the judges, and I think it was enough to piss off the voting public.  When the judges told Audrina that she “lacked passion” on her face, Tony said that he knew the judges missed it, but he’s certain the viewers at home saw it and will vote for him.  Big mistake.  Don’t insult the judges.  Neither Tony nor Maksim Chmerkovskiy have won Dancing With the Stars, and both of them have a history of talking back to the judges.  America wants to see that you are deserving of the trophy, which includes being able to accept criticism.  Until then — you’ll continue to lose — no matter how talented your partner.
