Tom Brokaw took a moment to address the widespread speculation about his contentious relationship with Brian Williams with a standard, “Let the process play out” and “We always had a cordial relationship.” While it’s a nice soundbite from one of the last respected newscasters in history, it’s also expected. Brokaw has class, and he certainly won’t trash-talk Williams before he has all the information available. The ‘Girls’ star told the 92Y audience about how Brian Williams is coping, and she was quick to explain her faith in her father, saying, He’s a really good man. He’s an honest man. He’s a truthful man. He has so much integrity. He cares so much about journalism. And yes, he’s a really good dad.
