Roseanne Barr Visits Howard Stern — LISTEN NOW
Roseanne Barr stopped by Sirius satellite radio for an interview with Howard Stern to promote Last Comic Standing, and she did not disappoint. Barr was incredibly candid about the behind-the-scenes drama associated with her former hit show, along with the annoying executives who tanked her most recent efforts for a new television project. According to Barr, “When they tell you you’re a genius, it means you’re going to get f-d in the ass.” Stern also asked for her take on many of the most-coveted comedians, and she was honest with her answers. According to Barr, “Any guy who does one tenth of what [a woman does] gets ten times the praise.” Tune in below for the full interview, and for more of Howard Stern, visit HOWARD 100.

Jonah Hill in Playboy: Talks Hollywood Life
Jonah Hill visited Playboy Magazine for a sit-down interview to promote 22 Jump Street, and he didn’t hold back. Read some choice quotes below.
On the moment he became famous: “The day Superbad came out, Michael Cera and I bought a newspaper. I still have it because it was the day we couldn’t walk around together anymore. One day before, we could walk near my apartment in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles and nobody would talk to us. Then all of a sudden it was insane, and it pretty much hasn’t stopped.”
On whether or not fame has changed him: “Every significant event or series of events has an impact on a person’s evolution, but I don’t view myself as any different from who I was before. The only thing that’s embarrassing is if I’m out for one of my friends’ or family members’ birthday and the attention is on me.”
On his toughest stunt while filming 22 Jump Street: “Hanging from a helicopter or hanging off the side of a moving truck is physically challenging, but just the whole nature of those scenes is intense. When you’re standing on a rooftop with a helicopter floating 10 feet above your head, it seems like a bad f**king idea. We were shooting in Puerto Rico that day and heard M16 gunshots, and they weren’t coming from us. That’s a day I won’t forget.”
On the airplane orgy scene in The Wolf of Wall Street: “The only word I can use to describe it is unhygienic. The women were obviously attractive, but it’s an unsexy environment. It doesn’t feel like you’re hooking up with somebody. It feels like you’re at work. The woman who was simulating oral sex on me was talking between takes about picking up her kids from school. And some guy’s genitals are in my face in this hot, cramped, sweaty place. Then, months and months later, your mom gets to watch it with you.”
On whether or not he kept the prosthetic penis from The Wolf of Wall Street pool party scene: “I had to give that baby back, but I do have my character’s teeth in a safe. I usually keep one item from each movie. I have a baseball bat from Moneyball. From Superbad I have the Western shirt my character wore. From Jump Street I have the bike-cop uniform. They’re relics of all the crazy good times in my life.”
On the greatest moment of this year’s Oscar night: “When Leo and I got to spend time with Don Rickles. We were at the Paramount pre-Oscars party, and Don was there with the head of Paramount. We basically bum-rushed him because we’re both huge fans. The man did not disappoint. The guy is almost 90 years old and he’s still got his game. He laid into Leo really hard because he was wearing a newsboy hat. Don was like, ‘Hey, yeah, just keep the cab running outside, kid. I’ll be out in a minute.’ Love that guy.”
On Dustin Hoffman: “Dustin Hoffman is my favorite actor of all time. He represents the ultimate goal of what I would ever try to do, which is be able to succeed in any genre so beautifully. There’s no one you can compare to him. It’s not like I’m saying I want to be like him. I’ll never be as good as he is, but I can try. What was so incredible was Dustin taking a chance on me. I don’t know why he did it, but he got me a part in I Heart Huckabees, and that pretty much set me on my way.”
On advice he’d give his 20-year-old self: “I’d probably say, ‘Don’t stress so much.’ All through my 20s, I worried too much about things, both having to do with work and not, that ultimately turned out to be unimportant. Am I going to get this job? Is this girl going to text me back? Is my friend mad at me? I used to think everyone was mad at me. That’s a big thing I’ve had to work on in my life.”
On his most surreal Hollywood experience, to date: “Steven Spielberg came to the set of The Wolf of Wall Street and spent the whole day. Spielberg and Scorsese would stand together at the monitor, watching the scene I just acted in. I’d get notes from both of them and go, How the hell did I get here, again? That’s something I’ll remember when I’m 90 years old.”
Emma Haslam on Britain’s Got Talent — Reinvents Stripping
Howard Stern has often emphasized the irrelevance of a stripper pole, claiming that acrobatic moves are not sexy, and no one wants to see a hot chick suspended in air. His objection can only be referenced by the video below, which shows an overweight woman by the name of Emma Haslam executing some shocking stripper moves. And though I’ll certainly be attacked for saying it, if I want to see women strut their “stuff” sans any body issues, I’ll go to my local locker room. Those chicks are most definitely “fearless.”
Jonah Hill Apologizes — Listen to Howard Stern Interview
Though it’s hard to believe for non-listeners, Howard Stern is the person to see to kill all controversy. Jonah Hill visited the King of all Media to promote his new film and Stern immediately addressed the “elephant in the room.” Because Stern’s long-format allows for conversation instead of brief sound bites, it’s easy to identify Hill’s true regret over his “homophobic slur.” And while I certainly don’t condone his rant, I also don’t condone harassing paparazzi who yell offensive things until a celebrity snaps. We all have a breaking point. Listen below.

Scout Willis Takes a Stand — FOR NUDITY
Of all the many movements to support, nudity is certainly not on my top-ten list. Scout Willis, the obviously outspoken daughter of Bruce and Demi, apparently feels otherwise. In response to Instagram’s no nudity policy, Scout strolled naked through NYC, saying things on twitter like, “I’m moving to Europe, people’s victorian sensibilities need to calm the [f-k] down.”
Something tells me Scout spends far too much time on social media, and is in desperate need of a more profound cause of which to bring attention. Instagram is a private entity, and they are perfectly entitled to have personal standards about what they promote. For instance, when I have a dinner party in my PRIVATE home, I ask that my guests show up clothed. Sure the naked body is beautiful, but I’d like to keep my chairs clean.
UPDATE: In an effort to change the world, I’ve joined the movement, and posted a picture of Scout Willis’ TATAS. Next stop — WORLD PEACE.
Ann Hornaday Blames ‘Neighbors’ For Santa Barbara Killing
The media has long been criticized for glorifying criminals. Remember the infamous Rolling Stone cover of the Boston bomber? One could argue that the media is merely serving the public’s wishes, and since the public is obsessed with the mind of a killer (see Silence of the Lambs), it only makes sense to endlessly explore his or her family, private life, and “motive.” But when does that exploration begin to glorify the criminal? It’s difficult to articulate an exact moment, but I know it when I see it, and that moment has come.
A 22 year old named Elliot Rodger has killed six people in Santa Barbara before taking his own life, and he wrote a 137 page manifesto, entitled, ‘Day of Retribution.’ In it, he discussed his vengeance on women, his lack of friendships, and his anger toward the mistreatment he’s received by his peers. I’d elaborate, but it’s irrelevant. What’s important is how we move forward, and so far — that’s not going well.
Most recently, a writer for the Washington Post named Ann Hornaday attempted to explain this killer’s rage by referencing Seth Rogen’s move, ‘Neighbors,’ as an example of how Hollywood creates unrealistic expectations of what a man’s life should look like (see hot chick, lots of friends, partying, etc.). Seth Rogen is predictably pissed, saying, “How dare you imply that me getting girls in movies caused a lunatic to go on a rampage.” But Hornaday isn’t alone. Actress Mara Wilson said, “Please, teach your sons women are people, with lives and personalities and interests. They are not objects, they are individuals, and NO ONE is entitled to another human being’s body or time.” Connie Britton furthered with, “Because I’m raising a son. Respect, admiration, and appreciation instead of anger, contempt, and entitlement.”
The issue with these explanations is it attempts to justify the killer’s motives, instead of finding a real-life solution to the problem. The problem isn’t that this kid got rejected, it’s that he was mentally ill and he had access to a gun. And instead of discussing gun control and mental illness, we’re talking about the manifesto of a mad man, and the movie ‘Neighbors.’ The only person who is actually discussing the issue at hand is Richard Martinez, who tragically lost his son, Chris Martinez, in the shooting. Take a moment to watch his video below.
