I knew Katy Perry would have a sustaining career when I heard her on Howard Stern. She was business savvy, intelligent, and funny. And the branding for her new film proves that even if she’s not the one making her business choices, she certainly picked someone great. Look at the poster below.
The only concerning thing in the clip below is that Jacqueline is unable to express any level of emotion due to her excessive botox (allegedly, of course). Also, she’s incredibly annoying. In what world do you require your “best friend” to confess all of her financial issues? Theresa’s financial status is no one’s business except all of America’s when she decides to reveal it in a confessional. Until that very private moment, Jacqueline should back-off. Watch below.
I’m not sure what releveant data-points to take from the clip below, other than that Chris Cuomo is extremely attractive, and Rielle Hunter is nuts. There’s a very powerful lesson to be learned here though, and it’s that you shouldn’t sleep with the wrong girl, because if you do, she’ll likely write a tell-all book about your affair. Is nothing sacred anymore? Can’t a guy get his rocks off in private? Oh wait — he’d have to hire a hooker for that (see Elliot Spitzer & Charlie Sheen). Watch 20/20 tonight at 10/9 central on ABC to get the full interview. Continue reading “Chris Cuomo Interviews Rielle Hunter — Still Seems Nuts”
The CBS war with ABC over ‘Glass House’ took an unexpected turn when CBS issued a fake press release mocking ABC. Though I think every show is essentially a rip-off of another show, CBS argues that this is an especially unique carbon copy, given that ABC used CBS staff members to duplicate the format. Read and enjoy the press release below. At least someone has a sense of humor. And speaking of a sense of humor, CBS certainly got the last laugh when ‘Glass House’ tanked in the ratings.
CBS ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT OF “DANCING ON THE STARS,” AN EXCITING AND COMPLETELY ORIGINAL REALITY PROGRAM THAT OWES ITS CONCEPT AND EXECUTION TO NOBODY AT ALL
Los Angeles, June 21, 2012 – Subsequent to recent developments in the creative and legal community, CBS Television today felt it was appropriate to reveal the upcoming launch of an exciting, ground-breaking and completely original new reality program for the CBS Television Network.
The dazzling new show, DANCING ON THE STARS, will be broadcast live from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and will feature moderately famous and sort of well-known people you almost recognize competing for big prizes by dancing on the graves of some of Hollywood’s most iconic and well-beloved stars of stage and screen.
The cemetery, the first in Hollywood, was founded in 1899 and now houses the remains of Andrew “Fatty” Arbuckle, producer Cecil B. DeMille, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Paul Muni, Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, George Harrison of the Beatles and Dee Dee Ramone of the Ramones, among many other great stars of stage, screen and the music business. The company noted that permission to broadcast from the location is pending, and that if efforts in that regard are unsuccessful, approaches will be made to Westwood Village Memorial Park, where equally scintillating luminaries are interred.
“This very creative enterprise will bring a new sense of energy and fun that’s totally unlike anything anywhere else, honest,” said a CBS spokesperson, who also revealed that the Company has been working with a secret team for several months on the creation of the series, which was completely developed by the people at CBS independent of any other programming on the air. “Given the current creative and legal environment in the reality programming business, we’re sure nobody will have any problem with this title or our upcoming half-hour comedy for primetime, POSTMODERN FAMILY.”
I discovered Michael Kiwanuka only weeks ago, and apparently I jumped on the train a little late. Watch his performance on Letterman below. He’s incredible.
Its hard to articulate what makes someone likable, but the public will certainly make its feelings clear. Ann Curry learned that the hard way when she transitioned from news anchor to co-host of ‘The Today Show’ after Meredith Viera’s departure, and the show subsequently lost its ratings war with ‘Good Morning America’ for the first time in 16 years. Though it might not be Curry’s fault, the network likely blamed her. It’s now rumored she’ll be replaced. The saddest part of this story is that she’ll be out of her job entirely. Had she just been content as a news anchor, she’d have an un-threatened gig. Perhaps her and Conan O’Brien should go for coffee.
Pixar artist Josh Cooley had the brilliant idea of turning R rated movies into a children’s book, and it paid off. The book is sold out, and there’s no immediate plans to produce more copies, despite popular demand. But if you’re like me, and you spotted your favorite film in the stills below, you can buy a print here. Enjoy the artistic masterpiece.
Just when you thought LeAnn Rimes could not get any more ridiculous, she bakes a cake and proves you wrong. She tweeted the photo below of the birthday cake she made for Eddie Cibrian, and wrote, “Eddie’s favorite things bday cake!” When his children asked for an explanation, do you think she said, “Eddie really likes to take naps?”
‘Slumdog Millionaire’ beauty covered the August issue of Flaunt Magazine, and she can be seen in the picture below wearing Parasuco Jeans. I’m told that the fall line for the Canadian based brand “will be influenced by a contemporary take on underground London street life combined with metropolitan chic influences.” No word yet on who made the oil for her shot, but she sure looks shiny.
