Lea Michele is Too Skinny — What Happened?

I am on the fence about whether to post this. Is pointing out someone’s dramatic weight loss the same as pointing out their dramatic weight gain? I don’t have an answer — so here goes nothing. While looking at pictures of Lea Michele from the Teen Choice Awards, I noticed her alarming weight loss. I saw her first season of Glee, where she looked healthy, as if she actually ate food. Now, she’s almost unrecognizable. If you have read my previous posts, you know that I favor the curvy girls in the industry. That’s either because of my own “curves,” or because I have a lot of male friends, who always tell me that they don’t like super-skinny chicks, as they have no interest in “fu*king little boys.” When deciding whether to post about this, I asked myself what my mother would say, and I envisioned Lea Michele walking into my home, at which point my Jewish mother would immediately make her a home-cooked meal and say “you’re getting too thin!” If my mother would do it, I think it’s okay. To see a before picture of Lea Michele, look below.

Update: It occurred to me why Lea Michele dropped so much weight for the new season of Glee. She was told that she had to perform Britney Spears’ hit song (in a sports bra), Baby One More Time, and she freaked out and dropped a ton of weight. Not good. Watch the Britney trailer here.

‘Glee’ Spoiler: Will Terri Return to the Show?

Jessalyn Gilsig confirms that her future on ‘Glee’ is “uncertain.”  Fox has yet to pick her up for next season, so she has absolutely no clue if she will return.  While this doesn’t sound good for her, I will say that I’d like to see her return to the show.  The writers may have backed themselves into a corner though, as they made her character so insanely unlikable that I can’t imagine that anyone would root for a reunion with Matthew Morrison.  It’s a shame too, because Terri and Mr. Shuester had way more chemistry than he and Emma ever did (the Emma/Will storyline was a big misfire).

My Favorite Song From This Week’s ‘Glee’ – Mark Salling Sings ‘Beth’ by Kiss

I’m aware that I’m late on this post, and I’m also aware that this week’s ‘Glee’ was centered on the glorious Lady Gaga. But the song that knocked me off my feet was ‘Beth’ by Kiss. Mark Salling knocked it out of the park. Listen below.

Jonathan Groff Makes a Surprise Appearance at the Glee Concert – Sings With Lea Michele

Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele reunited on stage at the ‘Glee’ concert over the weekend.  Groff starred alongside Michele in the original Broadway cast of ‘Spring Awakening,’ and Michele referred to him as her “best friend” on stage.  Though he plays her boyfriend on ‘Glee,’ he wasn’t listed as one of the performers set to appear at the concert.  Watch Michele and Groff sing together below.

My Favorite Song From Tonight’s ‘Glee’ – Jesse’s Girl

It’s hard to pick which performance I liked best from tonight’s episode.  They were all incredible.  Since I must select one though (due to my self-imposed blog instructions), I have to say that Cory Monteith won the night with his rendition of Rick Springfield’s ‘Jesse’s Girl.’  Listen below.

‘Glee’ Spoiler – Who is Puck’s New Love Interest?

You have to hand it to the ‘Glee’ writers.  They’ve managed to execute every possible love combination on the show.  Judging from the clip below, it looks like Puck’s got the hots for “the black girl from Glee Club whose name [he] can’t remember.”  I found that humor a little offensive, but I’m admittedly an uptight prick.  Watch the clip to see what sparks Puck’s interest.

‘Glee’ is the Most Watched Scripted Show on Television

I’ve been accused of being very ‘Glee-centric’ on my blog – but to hell with it!  The show is incredible, and the public obviously shares my fervor, given that it just surpassed ‘Modern Family’ as the most watched scripted show on television.  Tuesday’s episode was the best yet, with Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Morrison singing a mash-up of ‘One Less Bell to Answer’ and ‘A House is Not a Home.’  Both songs were written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.  Morrison and Chenoweth are Broadway stars, so it doesn’t surprise me that they could deliver this performance.  Listen below.

‘Glee’ – Madonna Sequel on the Way

Michael Ausiello confirms that ‘Glee’ will devote another episode to the Queen.  It will happen next season, and will feature six more Madonna songs.  This is probably a great decision, given that I can’t seem to go anywhere without someone asking me if I saw Tuesday’s episode.  Yes I saw it and yes it was great.  I’m posting my favorite song from the episode below.

‘Glee’ Scores Highest Ratings in the Show’s History

The insane ‘Glee’ publicity is paying off.  The show raked in 13.7 million viewers Tuesday night, which beat the previous season average by 70%. The bad news is that ‘Glee’ was unable to sustain a large portion of the ‘Idol’ lead-in, losing 30% of Idol’s audience.  That’s surprising considering that ‘Glee’ and ‘Idol’ have a similar demographic.  I still say good for ‘Glee’ though.

Watch the Cast of ‘Glee’ on Oprah

The cast of the Fox hit show ‘Glee,’ was on Oprah today, and needless to say, the “Gleeks” were very excited.  The show has become a smash hit, so it was only fitting that the Queen herself invited them for a sit down.  With this and the recent Rolling Stone cover, I’d say they’ve made it.  Watch the interview below.  I promise there are plenty of chances to see the yummy Matthew Morrison.  He’s gotta be gay right?  He can’t be that incredible looking and be able to sing me to sleep.  Enjoy!
