If you’re a popular singer, that’s great. If you’re a popular singer that also writes your own music, that’s really great. Everyone knows the money is in publishing. Apparently, Angela Miller got the memo, singing an original tune on American Idol to overwhelming ovation. Watch below.
Hell hath no fury like a little boy scorned. Despite Kris Humphries adamant attempts at delaying his Kim Kardashian divorce trial, the court pounced on the emotional pipsqueak today, claiming he’s had enough time to prepare and setting the trial for May. Humphries has feverishly pushed for an annulment based on fraud, and Kardashian has continuously pushed back, claiming there’s no evidence, and insisting she married for love, not ratings.
There’s a lesson to be learned here, folks. If a man is willing to marry on television, his intentions are likely not pure. And if a woman is willing to marry on television, her intentions are likely not pure. In summary, two tainted television whores do not belong tying the knot.
“I left our home to go and make a movie, and while I was away my boyfriend got married, and I never heard from him again.” Laura Dern, on discovering that her then-boyfriend, Billy Bob Thornton had left her for Angelina Jolie.
I’m posting this interview for the sole purpose of sharing Christie Brinkley with the world. For whatever reason, I love her exasperated approach to interviews. She is clearly not the best at explaining herself, but she sure is adorable when she tries. Watch.
I was probably the last person on the planet to put it together that Eminem owns 50 Cent. Well . . . not literally, but the guy is signed to Shady Records, and that’s enough for me. Watch 50 Cent’s new video, featuring Eminem & Adam Levine.
If you find yourself sending messages to your ex — either through his friends or on national television — then you’re not over him. Such was the case with Taylor Swift, who sent a very public message to her ex-boyfriend, One Direction’s Harry Styles, whose voice she’s alleged to have imitated with a British accent during her Grammy opening. We’ve all dated our fair share of losers, but Swift has cornered the unique market of converting her private life into a public story. And she does it intentionally. Personally, I think it lacks class. Most songwriters have vague ideas of their song’s aim, but it’s as if Swift’s entire intention is not to heal, but rather, as John Mayer says, to “rub [her] hands together and go, ‘Wait till he gets a load of this!'”
I do my best to avoid gratuitous celebrity criticism, but Anne Hathaway deserves a smack-down. You can’t fake authenticity, and it appears that she’s planned every speech down to her exasperated breaths of surprise. It’s as if the moment she accepted her role for Les Miserables, she stood in front of her mirror with a hairbrush in anticipation of the time that she’d sweep awards season. I don’t know how to fix this, other than to say it’s probably best to assume you’ll lose every category. That way, you’ll avoid saying bloated things like, “I’ll forever use this as a weapon against self-doubt.”
Jennifer Lopez has a permanent place on The Dishmaster’s hot-list. That’s quite the achievement considering when she originally entered the business she had some image issues that she’s since rectified ten fold. Her sexy leg proves that the curvy girls will always reign supreme on the sexy-scale, and that hot man on her arm also proves that age is just a number. Watch my favorite fashionista below, and may skinny bitches everywhere take note.
I’ve never been a fan of Jack White, but I know a great performance when I see it, and the Johnny-Depp-clone killed it. Watch ‘Love Interrupted’ below.
