Charlie Sheen to Lindsay Lohan — Where’s My Thank You Note?

If there’s anyone that can give Lindsay Lohan advice — it’s Charlie Sheen. The man is untouchable. The reason? He owns his turmoil, unlike Lohan who is constantly crying “comeback,” only to be followed up with immediate trouble. As for why she never sent Sheen a thank you note for his $100,000 gift, I suppose that’s something you learn from your parents at a young age — and let’s just say she didn’t stand much of a chance.

Jon Stewart on Hugh Grant: “He Was My Worst Guest Ever”

20121210-110629.jpg“Stewart said that the worst guest he ever had was, surprisingly, British actor Hugh Grant. ‘And we’ve had dictators on the show,” Stewart quipped. He remembered Grant as being especially unpleasant to deal with, and promised he never would return.” Jon Stewart gives some behind the scenes anecdotes at the Montclair Film Festival.

Aussie DJ’s In Hiding Over Prank Call — The Blame Brigade Must Stop

Here’s the story in a nutshell: Two Australian DJs named Mel Greig & Michael Christian pretended to be the Queen of England during a prank call to the hospital housing Kate Middleton, and the nurse transferred the call to a nurse on duty who actually disclosed personal information about Middleton’s condition, and that information was broadcast nationally. The nurse who transferred that call later committed suicide, and the DJs are being blamed for her death, with atrocious accusations such as, “her blood is on their hands.” The Daily Mail reports that one of the DJs is on the verge of a breakdown and is undergoing intensive psychological counseling.

Allow me to take a moment to point out what I think is obvious. I don’t know anything about the nurse in question, but it’s extremely unfair to blame a prank call for her death. It also undermines the depth mental illness, which is not something that comes and goes at the hands of one individual circumstance. It’s a lifetime of struggle, and this blame brigade is disgusting & reckless. As for the DJs in question, lets not pretend as if everyone on this planet has not at one point made a prank phone call, and please refrain from pointing fingers at two people who made an innocent choice that turned tragic. It is wrong, and it exposes a fundamental flaw of humanity — when things get bad, everyone wants to point fingers instead of asking the questions that need to be asked. And in pointing fingers, the tragedy only magnifies. Leave these people alone.

New Music Discovery: Alma Luma & So Do Samba

I don’t know much about Alma Luma & So Do Samba, except that they are a French & Brazilian band, and they are completely off the Google grid. There’s no website, no facebook page, and very little biographical information anywhere. Also — I’ve completely forgotten how I discovered them. All I know for sure is — they are damn good. If any of my readers are talented researchers, please supply me with more information. Until then, listen below.

LeAnn Rimes Cries . . . Again

I feel sorry for LeAnn Rimes. She’s clearly unstable, and she’s completely unwilling to disappear until she gets better. Instead, she’s going on an interview tour to clear her image, and she’s tarnishing it in the process. And furthermore, she should refrain from prosaic words of wisdom which include maxims like, “You can’t break something that’s not already broken.”

Demi Lovato’s Last Act Leaves — Claws Come Out

The source of Demi Lovato’s bitchiness finally dawned on me, and I’m embarrassed to admit I didn’t see it earlier. She lost her last act! That sure explains her misplaced hatred for Cowell’s next sensation, Emblem 3. Her barbs included, comparing the group to One Direction and The Jonas Brothers (as if that’s bad) and later accusing them of constantly “standing together” instead of “commanding the stage.” Bye, bye Demi. Maybe next time you should listen to Simon when he mentors you, instead of mentoring your own contestants.

Katy Perry’s Extended Video for “The One That Got Away” Leaks — WATCH

I like Katy Perry’s songs especially the one about the guy who got away, mostly because it reminds me of my own “one that got away.” To be fair, he didn’t exactly “get away,” as much as I threw him out my car window (metaphorically, of course), but you say tomato, I say tomato (that works better out loud). Watch the extended 7 minute video that allegedly “leaked.”
