Oprah took the passenger seat on Watch What Happens Live and refreshingly answered every question asked. True to form, Andy hid his hard-hitting questions behind the viewers, asking Oprah if she went to easy on Whitney Houston. Oprah replied with an interesting explanation about how she approaches her interviews, leaving judgment at the door (hear that Dr. Phil?). Watch below.
Kim Kardashian Blasts Katie Couric
Kim Kardashian’s claws came out, and I like it! In response to a recent Katie Couric interview with In Touch Magazine inquiring as to why the Kardashian’s are famous, Kim posted a baby gift sent by Couric on Twitter with a hashtag saying, “May I humbly suggest you not send baby gifts and then talk shit.”
Well, you have to applaud Kim for calling out Couric’s hypocrisy. Here’s hoping Kim’s feisty side continues.
Jennifer Aniston Masters Awkward Chris Stark Interview — Watch
Jennifer Aniston is not only a seasoned professional, she’s also a class act. She encountered an adorably awkward interview with the now infamous Chris Stark of BBC Radio 1’s The Scott Mills Show (see Mila Kunis), and her responses are sure to make this a viral sensation. Stark asked a series of unintentionally ridiculous questions, and Aniston answered them all. Haven’t you always wanted to know if Jennifer Aniston has a ‘free pass’ list in her relationship with Justin Theroux? After all, isn’t that a little too easy to accomplish given her celebrity status? Watch below to find out her answer. As an aside, doesn’t this squeaky kid remind you a little of Hugh Grant?

Ashton Kutcher at the Teen Choice Awards — What the Phuck?
Though I appreciate the striking sentiment, Ashton’s Kutcher’s speech at the Teen Choice Awards seemed laced with a depression-filled enlightenment. I suppose it’s nice that he gave serious advice in a young forum, but it made me uncomfortable. Some words of wisdom included: “Be smart, be thoughtful, and be generous,” and “I’ve never had a job I was better than.” As I write this, it suddenly occurred to me that this all sounds strikingly similar to Steve Jobs’ commencement speech at Stanford. Perhaps his upcoming role went to his head. Watch below.
Stephen Colbert Addresses Daft Punk Debacle
In case you missed Stephen Colbert’s hilarious dance routine, I’ve kindly posted it below for your viewing enjoyment. Colbert finally addressed the behind-the-scenes story about Daft Punk’s no-show, explaining that the original interview had insane parameters, but Colbert felt up for the challenge. According to Colbert, they insisted on not speaking or performing, and he designed a format that he felt would comedically fill the silence. But the plan tanked when MTV forced exclusivity, as the music duo was set to perform at the VMAs and MTV didn’t want to over-saturate. Colbert took matters into his own hands for the seven minute segment and performed an “interpretive” dance. Watch below.

Jennifer Garner Fights Papparazi — Testifies for Law
I feel terrible for Jennifer Garner. Her children are constantly photographed for the public’s purview, often put in dangerous conditions for tabloid vultures. Though I understand the argument that she voluntarily put herself in this position, her children did not. I also take issue with the idea that one’s soul is sold to the devil to be in this business at the expense of privacy and safety. If you lived in Los Angeles and witnessed these horrific paparazzi first hand, you’d be doing everything in your power to fight against it. I have not posted one paparazzi picture since launching this blog, and I never will. Watch Jennifer Garner testify in favor of changing the law below. Unfortunately, I can’t foresee how any law could be drafted that adheres to the first amendment, but we’ll see.

Katy Perry v. Sara Bareilles — Is Roar a Rip-Off?
To my naked ear, these songs sound nearly identical. In case you missed it, there’s controversy surrounding Katy Perry’s new single, ‘Roar,’ and whether it sounds a little too similar to Sara Bareilles’ ‘Brave.’ After listening multiple times, I also came to the unkind conclusion that Sara Bareilles’ voice isn’t strong enough for a powerhouse pop tune. Had I not listened against Katy Perry, perhaps I would have thought otherwise. Judge for yourself below.
