In a recent interview with People, Kate Gosselin said how much she hopes to stay in the dancing competition, because she “really likes it.” Though I’m sure Gosselin is enjoying herself, the real reason most of these celebrities hope to stay as long as possible, is that they get paid per episode. The longer they stay, the bigger the check. Since Gosselin has eight children to support, and she is no longer generating income from TLC, I would imagine that she is trying pretty hard. I’d like to see her stay too, given that she seems to be the only non dancer/performer/athlete.

Donald Trump is Still Talking About Rosie O’Donnell
Did Rosie O’Donnell kill his first born child and we don’t know about it? When asked about Rosie’s return to television, Trump called her a “loser,” and a “failure.” This feud all began when Rosie mocked Trump on ‘The View.’ While it’s true that Rosie started it, I’m not sure that Trump needs to keep it going. I speculate that something happened between them prior to Rosie insulting him on ‘The View,’ and it was never made public. That’s the only thing I can think of that would merit this level of animosity. Otherwise, he might need to attend some serious therapy. Watch Rosie throwing the alleged first punch below.
Katherine Heigl has Officially Left Grey’s Anatomy
Entertainment Weekly confirmed what has long been speculated: Katherine Heigl and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ are over. I must say I am glad to hear it. I was pretty sick of all the negative press surrounding the show and her contract, and perhaps now things will move in a more positive direction. This often happens with actors that have film careers take off while they are on a successful television show. They want out of their contracts, and the show doesn’t want to release them, because the show benefits from the actor’s film success. Summation? It becomes a big huge mess. So long Izzie. It was fun while it lasted.
‘Dancing With the Stars’ Has its Largest Audience Ever
It looks like ABC made some changes for the better. Last night’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ drew the largest premiere audience since the show began. Something tells me Samantha Harris won’t be coming back anytime soon. I think Brooke Burke as the new host probably helped with the numbers. Also, who can beat watching Pamela Anderson dance around like a crazy person? Watch below.

Gabourey Sidibe’s Mother Tells Howard Stern to "Get a Life"
Howard Stern has been in hot water recently about some comments he made about Gabourey Sidibe’s weight. Many celebrities have responded to his comments, including Jessica Simpson and the women of ‘The View.’ Now Gabourey’s mother has come forward, saying he should “get a life.” I listened to his show that day, and though I thought his comments crossed the line, I did not anticipate such a media frenzy. Hear him respond to the criticism below.
Katherine Heigl is Leaving Grey’s Anatomy
Mike Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly has just announced the end of ‘Izzie Stevens’ on ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ Since Heigl’s film career has taken off, she has long desired to escape her contract on ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ As a result, there have been some cutting barbs in the press between Heigl and the show’s creators over the years. Here are some of them:
Heigl took her name out of the Emmy race and, she told the press that she felt she wasn’t given the proper material by Grey’s writers to warrant an Emmy nomination
Heigl told Letterman that she had a 17 hour work day which she thought was “cruel and mean,” and the Grey’s camp responded by saying that the long work day was actually a favor to her to work around her movie schedule
Heigl complained to the press that she wasn’t given the respect she deserves during her contract renegotiation so she walked out.
You may remember my post about why George Clooney is so respected in Hollywood. Clooney’s film career took off while he was on ER, and instead of acting like Heigl and bashing ER to get out of his contract, he respected the show and stayed until his contract was up. I think she should have done the same. Time will tell as to whether she will pay the price for this.
Samantha Harris v. Brooke Burke: Harris says she can Return to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ if she wants
Samantha Harris was pretty cryptic in a recent interview, saying “who knows what the future holds,” and “for season 10” of DWTS, she “want[ed] to focus on ‘The Insider.'” Since Brooke Burke has been named the new host, I wonder if Samantha Harris is having buyer’s remorse. After all, ‘The Insider’ is the worst show on television. Perhaps this is her way of telling Burke not to get too comfortable. Am I reading to much into it?

I am pretty excited about this. I was initially a little disappointed by the star selection, but now that they are paired up I am looking forward to it. Personally, I am rooting for Maksim this year. He’s never won and he’s pretty to look at, so I want him there as long as possible. Here is the lineup:

Dancing With the Stars Reveals Season 10 Cast–>I am Disappointed
Here is the lineup for Season 10: Pamela Anderson; Kate Gosselin ; Shannon Doherty; Nicole Scherzinger; Erin Andrews; Niecy Nash; Evan Lysacek; Aiden Turner; Jake Pavelka; Chad Ochocinco; and Buzz Aldrin. This lineup makes me mad. First of all, this show was originally supposed to be about putting has-beens or relatively unknowns back into the spotlight. It is not supposed to be about putting people into an even greater spotlight than they are already in. Evan Lysacek just won a gold medal for goodness sakes! If you want a gold medalist, choose Greg Louganis, who is a diving legend and was vying for the spot. Nicole Scherzinger!? Where are the has-beens!? Okay fine – Shannon Doherty and Pamela Anderson make me happy.
