When I think about the standards for my future husband, there’s one very important item on the check-list: Does he listen to Howard Stern? If not, we have no future. And as a test, I’m posting his interview with tennis legend Martina Navratilova below. If you don’t laugh, you should probably start eating dinner alone, because you’re a humorless curmudgeon that doesn’t deserve company.

Idol’s Phillip Phillips Sings “Still Rainin” — Wins the Night
Though it was a close call between Colton Dixon and Phillip Phillips on last night’s American Idol, Phillip Phillips won by a nose. And Stevie Nicks is right — he sure is good-looking. Plus, he can sing, and he has an unmatchable stage presence. That’s the type of thing you just can’t teach. Watch below.
Quote of the Day — Chris Klein on his “Dreadful” Mamma Mia Audition
“So an audition that I had done years ago for Mamma Mia, somehow, was put on to the web. And it’s a horrible audition. And I took a chance — I can’t sing! I don’t know why I was in there. But I took a chance! It’s a musical — let’s see if I can give it a shot. And, you know, the way that they put it out there, it gets taken out of context and all that kind of thing. It was really a dreadful audition.” Chris Klein, on his hilarious Mamma Mia audition that went viral. Watch below if you’re having a bad day. It will surely make you laugh hysterically.
Rosie O’Donnell v. Stephen Baldwin: Gay Rights Debate
It kills me that Oprah cancelled Rosie’s show. Rosie is a force, and it’s not only her opinion that matters, it’s how she expresses it. There’s few people who can get away with mixing emotions with their argument without alienating their listener, and Rosie pulls it off. She should have had more time. It takes time to learn your way on a new show, and it takes time to find the format that the audience most responds to. She just didn’t get a fair chance, and because Oprah’s network is suffering on all levels, Rosie was an unfortunate, unnecessary casualty. Watch below to see her discuss gay marriage with Stephen Baldwin. She doesn’t lose her cool, and she has a civilized conversation with someone on the other end of the debate.
Colton Dixon Sings “Everything” — Awesome
I started watching this season of American Idol very late in the game, and it became immediately clear that Colton Dixon and Phillip Phillips are the front-runners. On tonight’s show, Colton Sang “Everything” by Lifehouse — and he was incredible. It’s also worth pointing out that Randy Jackson gave his first valuable comment since the show began, saying, “One of the most important things an artist can have is believability.” He’s right. It doesn’t matter what note you can hit, it matters if you’re authentic. And Colton Dixon is authentic.

Alicia Silverstone Feeds her Son Mouth-to-Mouth — Fu*king Disgusting
Can someone please explain to me what the f*ck is wrong with Alicia Silverstone? She posted a video on her blog feeding her 11 month old son mouth-to-mouth. This is so disturbing on so many levels, and I actually think she should be investigated for mistreating her son. In the video below, she actually tries multiple times to feed her son from her own mouth, and he clearly isn’t interested. When I first read the story, I assumed she chewed the food and then fed it to him with a spoon. But she is actually putting her mouth on her child’s mouth and transferring it to him like a bird. It’s abhorrent.
Bully — Official Trailer — A Necessary Film
My friend’s son was a victim of bullying. He was a black belt, and he was afraid to fight back for fear of hurting the bully. His parents went to the principal, and the principal did nothing. They then called the other kid’s parents and they did nothing. So one day my friend sat with her son and said, “Take him down.” He went to school that day, got bullied, and warned the kid he was about to hurt him if he didn’t stop. When he didn’t, my friend’s son used his parents advice and front-kicked his opponent to the stomach. The bully laid on the ground wailing in pain and my friend’s son was immediately sent to the principal. When the principal called my friend to yell at her for consenting to this, she yelled back, saying that if he continued to do nothing, her son would continue to fight back. But some kids aren’t that lucky, and they can’t fight back. We’ve all either witnessed a bully or been bullied ourselves, and because many school administrations are incompetent, nothing gets done. Hopefully the new movie, “Bully”, will help bring an end to this type of behavior. Watch the trailer below.
Khloe Kardashian Quits PETA — Suffers Memory Loss?
I find it very convenient that Khloe Kardashian would call PETA a bully for flour-bombing Kim Kardashian on the red carpet when PETA has been known for this type of behavior for years. In fact, they’ve been doing this since 1999 when they threw red paint on Oscar de la Renta’s runway, and that was long before Khloe posed naked for the organization. Does she suffer from selective memory loss, or does she only denounce “bullying” when her sister is involved? And furthermore, though I don’t condone PETA’s behavior, if the goal was to get attention — they certainly succeeded.
Miley Cyrus Wears Engagement Ring — Not Engaged
Attention Miley Cyrus: If you wear what looks like a diamond on your left ring finger, the public will think you’re engaged. And since you’ve been in the business long enough to realize that — it can only be determined that the move is a desperate ploy for attention. Take the ring off and stop acting like the media is ridiculous for their inquiry. There’s only one ridiculous person here, and I think you can guess who it is.
Quote of the Day — The Black Keys Bash Spotify
“He’s an a–hole. . . . That guy has $2 billion that he made from figuring out ways to steal royalties from artists, and that’s the bottom line. You can’t really trust anybody like that. . . . I honestly don’t want to see Sean Parker succeed in anything.” The Black Keys’ drummer Patrick Carney on former Facebook president and current Spotify board member Sean Parker’s assessment that Spotify will surpass iTunes in revenues paid to artists.
