The Kardashian’s Visit Cuba — Watch a Clip

We can learn a lot of lessons from the Kardashian trip to Cuba, one being that no matter what the location or time of day, we can always count on Kim to pour herself into a body-con midi dress, boobs ablaze. For someone with so much access, you’d think her stylist might get a tad more creative. There’s a whole world outside tight and see-through. Enjoy a clip of their visit to Ernest Hemingway’s house. Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs Sundays at 9 PM ET/PT only on E!.

Ellen Pompeo is Satisfied With Her Grey’s Anatomy Career

The grass is always greener for many actors, and some have left hit shows at the height of their stardom to enter the cold reality of a fading career. That’s not the case for Ellen Pompeo, whose 13 seasons on Grey’s Anatomy proved both lucrative AND satisfying. According to Pompeo, she was well aware that the grass, while seemingly greener, probably required a little too much water for her liking. Of finding roles, she said, “At 33, I was wise enough to know my clock was already ticking in Hollywood” and why “leave something that is super successful and pays me great to search the landscape?”

Kudos to Pompeo for a clear-headed career that we can all learn a thing or two from.

‘The Men Tell All’ – Did the Bachelors Have a Brawl?

img_7427.jpg
Is The Bachelorette’s biggest villain actually the most sensible suitor? After all, he was the only guy who called into question the motives of others, and he certainly didn’t lie to JoJo about his feelings. As for the neanderthal rolling up his sleeves in need of a fight, a fighter need not roll up his sleeves. Just throw a punch. Your shirt will be fine. Watch a clip below.

HBO Cancels ‘Project Greenlight’

PROJECT GREENLIGHT

The cancellation of HBO’s Project Greenlight can only mean one thing, and it’s that HBO might have actually prioritized movie-making over good television, because the entire purpose of the show was its final product, and their final product has yet to find any success. Project Greenlight aired on HBO for its first two seasons from 2001-2003. It then went to Bravo for its third season in 2005, before returning to its original home a decade later. Last season saw a lot of drama, and I’m not talking about the movie. In fact, the actual movie was a dated comedy with minimal laughs, and the director felt shackled by his producer at every turn. As for whether the director might have created a stronger film with his own hand-picked team, who knows.

Banning Twitter Trolls Does Not Violate the First Amendment

If Instagram can filter a nude picture off my feed within seconds, then Twitter can do the same for verbal harassment. Leslie Jones is just one of many stars that have complained about abuse on their platform, and while some might suggest banning vile trolls violates free speech, I’d encourage them to take an actual class on the constitution, because twitter is not the government, and a private company is free to set anti-racist rules and standards, and to ban online bullying.Don’t believe me? Try running through the halls of the private company you work for shouting the N word. When they fire you, attempt to cite the first amendment.
As for why this electronic medium incites what seems to be an alarming number of a–holes, I think the answer is clear, and it has nothing to do with anonymity. Has anyone been to high school? Because my high school had a certain percentage of jerks, and I can only assume they are the types of people who would take to twitter to abuse others. When you expand your reach, you are bound to encounter bullies. It’s just simple math. And if celebrities don’t have anyone to take a first pass at the unwelcome comments, then they’re in the trenches, and perhaps they should get out.

Kim Kardashian Talks Taylor Swift on KUWTK

Kim Kardashian almost had me in the clip below, but she took an unfortunate left turn when she once again defended Kanye’s infamous Taylor Swift stage-crash. In reference to Swift “playing the victim,” Kim explains that she felt it was time to defend Kanye over a lyric in ‘The Life of Pablo’ in which Kanye claims that he “made that bitch famous.” According to Swift, she did not approve the line, but team Kardashian-West insists otherwise. It’s still unclear whether Kim personally witnessed Swift’s approval or simply heard a second-hand version from Kanye. I agree that Swift is humorless, takes herself too seriously, and is a bit of a hypocrite, but Kim should have simply stopped at “Kanye should not continue to be punished.”

Warren Beatty’s ‘Rules Don’t Apply’ – Watch Trailer

In one of the strongest trailers I’ve seen in some time, “Rules Don’t Apply” follows an aspiring young actress (Lily Collins), her driver (Alden Ehrenreich), and the eccentric Howard Hughes, whom they work for. With Warren Beatty as Hughes and the films writer, director, and producer, we have a lot to look forward to. Plus, Annette Bening and Alec Baldwin are also in the cast, so they can’t miss. Watch a trailer below.

Jennifer Lopez Performs New Song on Fallon . . . In a Cape

While I usually like an over-the-top, sexy, attention-grabbing Jennifer Lopez, it feels wildly inappropriate while performing “Love Make The World Go Round” with Lin-Manuel Miranda for the Orlando shorting victims. She should not be dressed sexy on any level, and she should not embellish her performance with look-at-me facial expressions. I get it. That’s JLO, and we need to live our lives to “celebrate love,” but there’s a time and a place for this kind of display, and she, like Lin-Manuel Miranda, should be wearing jeans a t-shirt. Perhaps it’s just a styling issue and JLO”S team can’t bend outside of their comfort zone given the circumstance, but this is a major misfire. Watch below.

Jennifer Aniston is Fed Up: Writes Article for Huffington Post

The Tabloids have once again speculated that Jennifer Aniston, at the age of 47, is pregnant, and the A-list actress has had enough. In an article for the Huffington Post, she emphasized society’s unfair standards toward women, saying:

This past month in particular has illuminated for me how much we define a woman’s value based on her marital and maternal status. The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time… but who’s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children.

Aniston has always been a role model to me. She met someone, fell in love, got divorced, and then waited a very long time to settle down. It didn’t seem to top her list of priorities, and she wanted to be sure she found the right partner. She would not be pressured, pushed, or judged, and she would not allow the press to ask invasive questions about her future. Good job, Jennifer.
