There’s a little game we used to play in law school called, “How to Spot the Liar.” I put my developed skills to use while watching Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile make a failed response on ‘The View’ to Theresa Giudice’s claim that they joined ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ behind her back. When confronted with Theresa’s accusation, Melissa simply said it wasn’t true and Theresa uses that “as a crutch.” When further pressed by the panel, it became very clear Theresa was right. They didn’t disclose the contract negotiations and only told Theresa when they signed on the dotted line. In short, that means they kept a secret. Watch below.
I’ve heard of having a lot of time on your hands, but this has to be one of the douchiest experiments in the history of weight loss. Drew Manning appeared on The View to promote his “Fit 2 Fat 2 Fit” experiment, which involved him putting on weight so he could be a better trainer. Need I point out that putting on weight when you’ve spent your entire life as a fit person doesn’t count? It’s cheating, and if this makes him a better trainer than perhaps Renee Zellweger should open a gym since she gained all that weight for Bridget Jones.
Everyone knows that the winner of Dancing With the Stars always comes down to the freestyle routine, and since Donald Driver’s routine was clearly the best, the results didn’t surprise me. I’ve posted the video of his freestyle below, and it’s worth noting that Carrie Ann Inaba is uncomfortably annoying. Notice her actually standing on the table?
I almost forgot that David Charvet dated Pamela Anderson in their ‘Baywatch days. They were together for two years, and they broke up shortly after Anderson joined ‘Baywatch,’ mostly because working together and living together put an excessive strain on their relationship. When Anderson appeared on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ it didn’t occur to me that it could be uncomfortable for Burke, who is now married to Charvet. In the clip below, Wendy Williams got straight to the point, asking Burke how she felt about the constant on-air run-ins. Burke stayed classy and said it didn’t bother her, and Charvet stayed honest and said it was definitely awkward. Watch below.
The acting on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is the best I’ve ever seen on television. Series creator Shonda Rimes resurrected it from the dead, and then effectively duplicated the quality of the first two seasons. It’s a task I’m not sure any other series has executed. Watch below to see Owen fire Teddy. As an aside, I really hope Kim Raver gets her own series. I loved her on ‘Lipstick Jungle’, and I loved her on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
I’m not sure when Grey’s Anatomy became Lost, or how Shonda Rimes could dream up another catastrophe, but she’s done it again. As if a bomb in the hospital wasn’t enough? Watch the first seven minutes of tonight’s show below. Apparently one person dies — and if I had to place a bet — I’d put my money on Lexie. But that’s just me.
Carrie Underwood is a star. I mention this because it still surprises me that she shot to fame from ‘American Idol,’ and every time I see her perform — I’m reminded of what ‘The Voice’ isn’t. She’s classy, she has a great voice, and she’s gorgeous. Watch her form :Good Girl” on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’
The greatest thing about ABC’s decision to use all-stars for next season of Dancing With the Stars is the idea of celebrities returning to their ex boyfriends and girlfriends for the competition. Though it’s a long shot, perhaps Mario Lopez will be paired with Karina Smirnoff, Sabrina Bryan will reunite with Mark Ballas, Derek Hough will reconnect with Shannon Elizabeth, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy can pair up with Willa Ford or Erin Andrews. This is going to be good.
Derek Hough is undoubtedly the best choreographer on Dancing With the Stars, and that was demonstrated again last night by his extremely original take on the Samba, which included a very fun Bollywood spin. Watch below, and take notice of Maria’s very flat stomach. It’s incredible.
