Quote of the Day — Seal v. Heidi Klum: “She Cheated With the Help”

“To be quite honest, if there is going to be somebody else in their lives, I’d much rather it was a familiar face. I guess the only thing I would have preferred is that. . . I guess I didn’t expect any better from him, I would have preferred Heidi show a little bit more class and at least wait until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were . . . . But I guess you now all have the answer that you’ve been looking for for the past seven months.” Seal, on the rumors that Heidi Klum is currently dating her bodyguard coupled with the shocking confession that she cheated.

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes are Divorcing — Hollywood Weeps

Despite the endless speculation about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes being under some kind of contractual arrangement, I actually believed in them. I thought, “Maybe they are really in love, and Tom Cruise is just a victim of the Hollywood-rumor-mill. But just when I got comfortable with the couple, they’re done. That’s not to say it was ever fake, but let this be a lesson to everyone doing interviews about their relationship — be careful what you say and how you say it, because no one wants youtube-couch-jumping evidence of the way it used to be. As an aside, this will likely help both of their careers. Holmes lived in his shadow, and Cruise never quite recovered from his Oprah interview. As a unit, they professionally suffered, and this brings them back to reality in a more relatable fashion.

Q’Viva Debuts — It’s Amazing!

When I heard the ratings report on Q’Viva I thought its success was largely attributed to the curiosity surrounding Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s post-divorce interaction. Then I watched the show. And it’s very good. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony travel the world looking for talent, and they definitely find it. There’s a certain type of magic and grit obtained when watching performers in their native country that is impossible to capture otherwise. This show has heart. It might have single-handedly revived my talent-show fatigue. Watch below.

Kim Kardashian Cries About Divorce on Finale — Admits Mistake

A small part of me (a very small part) actually feels bad for Kim Kardashian. I think she was somewhat manipulated into this marriage by the people around her, and she thought it was better to go through with it than to jump ship. The worst part is that she seemingly found comfort in choosing her career over her personal life. She’ll never meet a man that’s comfortable on a reality show, and any man that is comfortable will likely have tainted intentions. Money is great, but you can’t take it with you when you die. You can take love with you though. Watch her confess to her failed marriage below.

Seal Tells Piers Morgan About Heidi Klum Reconciliation — Possible but not Probable

The most painful kind of breakup is the one that occurs when you’re still in love but can’t make it work. And judging by Seal’s conversation with Piers Morgan, he’s going through that very thing.  I’m impressed by his ability to discuss the situation without losing his cool. He’s certainly one of the classiest celebrities I’ve seen. Watch below.

Sharon Stone’s AARP Interview — Discusses Divorce

On Her Brain Hemorrhage

“I came out of the hospital with short- and long-term memory loss. My lower left leg was numb. I couldn’t hear out of my right ear. The side of my face was falling down. I thought, ‘I’ll never be pretty again. Who’s going to want to be around me?’”

On her Miscarriage and Choosing to Adopt

“The last time I lost the baby. I went into 36 hours of labor. While we were at the hospital, our adoption attorney called. I thought, ‘This is such a godsend. This is so right.”

On Her Divorce from Phil Bronstein

“He just didn’t see me, talk to me, look at me.”

“His initial intention with me was probably corrupt. I was suckered. I’m embarrassed to say that.”

On Parenting

“I’m loving raising my kid. Quinn is in junior kindergarten, and he’s very exclamatory! Like a little FBI agent, he tells you everything that’s happening, so I call him Agent Quinn. ‘Mom! Toots pooped in the yard!’ ‘Thank you, Agent Quinn.’ And Laird is like a rocket. He came home with his violin from school yesterday and played it all night. He’s a big romancer: When you talk to him on the phone, he’s like, ‘I’m in love with you, Mommy.’ ”

“I’ve made humanitarian causes and my children much more my priority than the Hollywood scene, being liked and getting movie parts.”

On Her Future as an Actor

“If I’m not going to be a big movie star again, then guess what? That wasn’t my destiny.”

“People call and want me to play parts that I used to play. I’m like, ‘You have no idea what I have been through!’”

On Dealing with Hardship

“I thought I’d never be okay again. But you can get okay—though you have to have fortitude.”

“I would go to these [philanthropic] events where I had to get on stage. I would be in the wings, with people looking at me, my head on the floor, praying: ‘God, please help me. I know I have to go out there and raise money. But I’ve lost my child, I’ve lost my health, I’ve lost everything’ I was just broken.”

On Seeking a Relationship

“I’m not just going to be with a guy so there’s a guy in my life.”

Kim Kardashian Discusses Her Divorce With Kelly Ripa — YAWN!

I’m not posting this clip because of Kim Kardashian. I’m posting it to illustrate just how much I miss Regis Philbin. When you watch, pay close attention to how much work Kelly Ripa has to do to keep the conversation entertaining. Sure Kim Kardashian discussed her tumultuous personal life, but without the E! edit, she’s not quite so interesting to watch. Ripa is basically laying verbal brick for fourteen minutes straight.

Seal Talks Heidi Klum Divorce With Tavis Smiley

I’ve met Seal. I’m not saying that to brag, I’m saying it to justify that I know he’s an extremely nice guy. So it’s no surprise that he’d handle the Heidi Klum divorce questions with a tremendous amount of grace. As an aside, why can’t these two work it out? They seemed so in love! Watch below.

Heidi Klum and Seal to Divorce? — Noooo!

If it’s true that Heidi Klum and Seal are divorcing, then I think it’s safe to say that I should no longer have favorite-celebrity-couples, because this marks my fourth favorite that is breaking up. The others are listed below. Such a shame. So much for renewing your vows every year.

  • David Arquette & Courtney Cox
  • Heather Locklear & Richie Sambora
  • Carmen Electra & Dave Navarro

Kelsey Grammer on Piers Morgan — Disscusses Camille

Kelsey Grammer has consistently won the PR war against his ex-wife, Camille Grammer, and his appearance on Piers Morgan was no exception. He was dignified yet cutting, and explained that he gave Camille ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ as some kind of pre-divorce parting gift, because he knew she “always wanted to be famous.” But his most profound statement came in the form of advice, when he said, “I’d give a piece of advice to women who say, “I want a divorce” as some kind of tactic. If you say “I want a divorce enough times, you’re gonna get one.” Watch below.
