Kristin Cavallari says she Expected ‘The Hills’ to End

In an interview with Mtv, Kristin Cavallari seems unfazed by ‘The Hills’ ending.  I would imagine she is actually pretty disappointed.  She was brought on to resurrect the show after Lauren Conrad left, and I think Mtv hoped that they could get a couple more successful seasons out of it.  I also don’t think Cavallari helped matters much when she initially called the show fake, comparing their improvisation to ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’  Watch her interview below.

CNN is Losing the Ratings Race to Pretty Much Everyone

CNN’s ratings are tanking.  They are now being beaten by Sean Hannity on Fox, just about everyone on Fox News, Rachel Maddow on MSNBC, and Joy Behar on HLN.  I think the first problem for CNN is comparing it to the above mentioned shows, considering that most of them don’t even count as news programs.  If you are going to compare CNN to Fox News, why not also compare it to ‘Keeping up With the Kardashians?’  After all, they are both cheesy reality shows aren’t they?

Mtv Renews ‘The Real World’ for Three More Seasons

I cannot decide if this is good or bad news.  This show has been unwatchable for a very long time.  I am still holding out hope that it will return to its roots and pick a compelling cast, but I think that’s a long shot.  I guess there are enough drunken idiots in the world to keep this show going for 20 more years.

Hollywood Remake Alert: Godzilla

Are there no original ideas anymore?  Yeah, it’s cheap and easy to do these remakes, so why not?  Godzilla is being remade for a 2012 release, and it will apparently stay true to the original story.  Overall, Godzilla has appeared in 28 films produced by Japan’s Toho Studios.  An American remake was produced by TriStar Pictures in 1998, starring Matthew Broderick and Jean Reno.  It made a decent worldwide gross in 1998, but was considered a critical flop.  So I guess it’s time to try again!  Legendary Pictures is set to produce it this time around.

Kate Gosselin is my Favorite on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

I realize that Kate Gosselin is not always a fan favorite, but I love her.  She’s the only person on DWTS that doesn’t have prior performing experience so I give her a lot of credit.  Watch her performance below.  There is also a lot of talk about her fighting with her dance partner, Tony Dovolani.  Watch them bickering in the second video (it stops at the 3:20 mark).  I actually feel sorry for Kate in the video.  I think Tony is frustrated that teaching Kate is such a challenge, so he lost it on her.  I’m obviously not the only one eager to see Kate dance, considering that the show put her performance last, which means they were trying to keep viewers tuned in until the very end.

The Farrelly Brothers are Very Nice Guys

A while back, the Farrelly Brothers were at a charity event in Martha’s Vineyard, and to encourage people to donate, they said that all of the $100 donors would have their names put in a hat, and the person picked from the hat would be in their next movie.  A girl’s name was picked from the hat, but by the time the movie started filming she sadly got cancer, and was unable to do it because she was too sick.  The Farrelly Brothers said she could be in their next movie instead, but if she wasn’t well by then, they would let her be in whatever movie they were doing when she got better.  Well, she did get better, and she recently flew to Atlanta, GA for the filming of ‘Hall Pass,’ starring Christina Applegate, Owen Wilson, Alyssa Milano, and Jenna Fischer.  I hear that the Farrelly Brothers liked this girl so much that they asked to go to dinner with her.  When she told them that she already made plans with her cousin, they asked if they could join.  I hear it was a great time.  After hearing this story, I will have a special place in my heart for the Farrelly Brothers forever!

Jon Heder and Comedy Central Part Ways

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Jon Heder has “dropped out” of a Will Farrel produced sitcom that he was set to star in due to “creative differences.”  I always find it funny when “creative differences” are cited as the reason that an actor is sacked.  Often times actors are hired based on their previous roles, and when they go in for a table read, the creative team isn’t happy with the actor’s performance.  So they “part ways mutually.”  I’m not saying that’s what happened here, though it would be my best guess.

Howard Stern Implies that Jamie Foxx is a Homosexual

Jamie Foxx started a feud with Howard Stern after Stern insulted Gabourey Sidibe of ‘Precious,’ when he called her too fat for Hollywood.  Stern responded on his radio show today, with many references to Foxx being a homosexual.  He began by saying that he had a lot of information about Foxx that would be embarrassing for him, but he wouldn’t mention it.  He then spent five minutes basically outing him, with about every other line being a gay pun.  Brutal.  All I can say is, don’t mess with Howard Stern.  To hear Stern’s comments, listen below.  To hear what started the feud, listen to Jamie’s comments in the second clip.
