Taylor Swift Can’t Take a Joke — Hates Tina Fey & Amy Poehler

The worst thing a public figure can be is unlikable, and the fastest way to get there is by being humorless.Taylor Swift is notoriously sensitive about her man-eating reputation, or rather her, I-make-boys-run reputation, and when Tina Fey & Amy Poehler told her to “stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son” at the Golden Globes, the singer wasn’t happy. And in a recent Vanity Fair interview, she expressed just how unhappy, saying, “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” True to her funny-girl form, Poehler replied, saying, “Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff. ” As for Fey, she fought back, saying, “It was just a joke, and I think it was actually a very benign joke.”

Here’s my advice to Taylor Swift: if you can’t make fun of yourself, everyone else will. It’s best to get a head start. Watch the joke below.

Julia Louis Dreyfus & Amy Poehler Swap Speeches — OoPs!

Original Emmy speeches deserve a standing ovation, especially when all the comedy at the awards is painfully canned. Watch what happened when Julia Louis Dreyfus accepted her award only to find out that she was accidentally reading Amy Poehler’s speech. I particularly enjoyed the shared spotlight for the nominated ladies.

Jimmy Kimmel Throws Howard Stern an A-List Party – Hilarity Ensues

Howard Stern spent the weekend in Los Angeles while promoting his wife’s book (‘Oh My Dog’), and Jimmy Kimmel decided to throw him a welcome party.  Kimmel appeared on Stern today to discuss the party, and it was some of Stern’s most hilarious radio yet.  My favorite detail involved an argument between John Stamos and Mark McGrath, where Stamos got angry with “musician” McGrath for his inability to play any songs for their shitty house band ensemble.  Stern insists that Stamos’ anger was unfounded, because at least everyone could play the song ‘Louie Louie’.  Stamos also gave both Kimmel and Stern shit for not inviting Don Rickles, who was peeved at both Kimmel and Stern for the oversight.  Oh yeah – Jeff Probst left in a tizzy because of Stern’s inappropriate attempt to interview him about his new girlfriend at the party.  Other celebrity guests included: Ben Stiller; Christine Taylor; Natalie Maines; Ryan Phillipe; Will Arnett; Amy Poehler; Christa Miller; Bill Lawrence; Bob Iger; Ashton Kutcher; and Demi Moore.  I’ve got to become friends with Jimmy Kimmel in time for the next Howard Stern party.  Knowing Stern though, he probably won’t return to Los Angeles for another 15 years.  Watch Beth Stern promote her book on Kimmel below.
