Miley Cyrus deserves a medal for this one. If the press is going to constantly speculate about your relationship status, you might as well have some fun with them. Cyrus tweeted an astoundingly beautiful selfie in what looks like a wedding dress.

This film brought me back to my childhood. I spent the majority of my youth in a heavily wooded area of rural Texas, and my escape was 50 yards into the forest amidst the insects, birds, squirrels, snails, frogs, and occasional snake. The forest always seemed magical, and ‘Epic’ brought those memories to life once again. The 3D animated adventure comedy is brought to us from the creators of ‘Ice Age’ and ‘Rio,’ and the mythical forest takes center stage. Add in a dysfunctional father-daughter relationship and the classical nature vs. nurture paradox, and the story unfolds.
Professor Bomba obsessively studies the woods, insisting that there are magical creatures within. His strong-willed and stubborn daughter M.K. doesn’t relate to her father’s quest. However, once transported to the world in the woods, she meets her romantic match and counterpoint in Nod, who relates to her individualism and desire to rebel against her parents. Ultimately, both embrace their idiosyncratic qualities while helping to battle evil forces that try to take over the forest.
‘Epic’s’ title properly represents this larger-than-life film. The cast is replete with megawatt stars and platinum musicians, and yet still manages to match its grandeur with a relatable, coming-of-age story-line that brings out the childhood dreamer in us all.
OVERALL RATING: 3 DISHES
Katie Couric’s awesome-factor went from luke-warm to red hot when she visited the Howard Stern show this week. Couric was presumably returning the favor after Stern’s one-hour sit-down on her own show. She talked openly about her husband and sister’s early death, her dating life, her CBS stint, and her potential return to The Today Show. Watch a clip below.
Divorce is hard enough, but public divorces are presumably even harder. That being said, they do provide for some timeless zingers that are worth reliving. Aside from Jennifer Aniston’s claim that Brad Pitt was missing his “sensitivity chip,” this one takes the cake. Watch Nicole Kidman tell David Letterman that she can “wear heels now.”
Kim Kardashian has consistently denied that she released her own sex tape, and I’ve consistently thought otherwise. For starters, it looks like a professional movie, and everyone whose anyone knows that sex tapes are in-the-moment recordings that usually yield unflattering results. And let’s not forget Nick Cannon’s recent revelation about Kim’s fib. As for Ray J, he’s never confirmed the self-sale, but he did take the time on Watch What Happens Live to explain the level of effort he put into the tape.
Since when are birds-eye crotch shots too edgy for television? Plus, I thought the Brits prided themselves on being the anti-prudes. Watch Jennifer Lopez’s controversy-laced performance on Britain’s Got Talent. It’s ass-tastic.

You gotta love Howard Stern. He appeared on Katie Couric and usual, broke the morning-television barriers. Stern was unafraid to ask about her shiny legs, and Katie kindly disclosed the source. Watch the clip below to see his lovely wife, Beth Stern, laugh at his ridiculousness. She sure is a cool chick. The full episode airs May 28th.
