Dear Hollywood Reporter – You Suck – Back Off the Conan Insults

The Hollywood Reporter wrote a ridiculous article about why Conan should not have interviewed with 60 minutes.  Among their many ludicrous reasons, is that he wasn’t funny, he seems too hurt, and that his comedy tour clips looked “sad.”  You guys suck.  Obviously you have NBC and Jay Leno in your pocket, and you therefore feel the need to pick on Conan.  People wanted to hear from him.  Yes he’s sad he lost the show.  He’s sad that NBC, the network that he put in 13 years with, turned on him.  America wants to hear from him.  And there is nothing wrong with him being honest about what happened.  Had he not openly talked about it, people would accuse him of being a pussy that’s too afraid of NBC to say anything.  By the way guys, he isn’t a hypocrite for going to cable after leaving NBC.  The reason he wanted ‘The Tonight Show’ is because of Johnny Carson, not because he thirsts to be on a network.  Suck it!  Read the article below.

Holly Robinson Peete Insults Cindi Lauper: "Leave it to the Professionals"

If you watched ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ you would have seen the incredibly disrespectful Holly Robinson Peete and Summer Sanders, tell Cindi Lauper not to sing a jingle, as she should “leave it to the professionals.”  Are you fucking kidding me?!  Cindi Lauper wrote and sang some of the best songs in the history of music, and you’re seriously going to talk down to her?  Why don’t you recite your music resume to me ladies.  Someone should have told Holly Robinson Peete that people actually watch the ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ which might not bode well for her in the future.  Below you will see I have attached some Cindi Lauper songs, in the vain hope that Holly Robinson Peete reads my blog and can learn a thing or two.  Sure they chose her to sing the jingle in the end, but the damage is done.

Roman Polanski Releases Statement – Explains Why he Fled the United States

Roman Polanski released a relatively complex statement, so I’m going to try and break it down.  His main claim is that he already served his time.  He says that after he plead guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, he served time in a Chino prison, which was meant to cover the entirety of his sentence.  According to Polanski, the judge reversed the decision and claimed that he needed to serve more time – so he fled.  The documentary ‘Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired’ covered this story, and it confirms a lot of what Polanski is saying.  Both the District Attorney and Polanski’s defense attorney confirm the Judge’s erratic behavior and thirst for the media spotlight.  Regarding Polanski’s time in Chino, I think he is referring to the fact that when a case drags on, and a defendant is in prison awaiting trial, judges sometimes sentence you to “time already served.”  I guess Polanski was given the impression that this would happen when he plead guilty, and the Judge changed his mind.  Either way, I hope this case gets tossed for the sake of the victim, whose name gets dragged through the mud every time this comes out in the press.

Jesper Parnevik Says Tiger is "No Longer Welcome" in His Home

Golfer Jesper Parnevik, introduced Tiger and his wife Elin, while Elin was working as Jesper’s nanny.  I think it’s safe to say that Jesper regrets playing matchmaker.  In a recent interview with Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, Jesper said that he isn’t looking forward to bumping into Tiger at a golf tournament, but he promises “not to hit him with a golf club.”  Gosh, he’s just so unforgiving.  C’mon – Tiger is a sex addict remember?  Have some compassion.

Alec Baldwin Will Host the Season Finale of ‘Saturday Night Live’

Alec Baldwin, will host the season finale ‘Saturday Night Live’ in two weeks. He unofficially revealed the news at the White House Correspondent’s dinner. NBC has yet to confirm or deny but I imagine they probably were not pleased that Baldwin jumped the gun with the announcement.  I also read that he gave Betty White advice, telling her to be sure not to “peak at the dress rehearsal.”  Baldwin has hosted the show 14 times, and is considered a fan favorite.

Designers Start Choosing Models Over Celebrities

A large source of celebrity income just got smaller.  WWD reports that European designers are choosing models instead of celebrities to advertise their fall-winter campaigns.  Dolce & Gabbana are pretty much the only exception, with the use of Madonna.  Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld explains the shift, saying that celebrities are overexposed in other magazines and people get tired of seeing them.  Gucci director Frida Giannini also weighed in, sayng that she uses models because celebrities are “often associated with a certain film.”  She prefers a “strong, generic face that’s not related to any world – whether that be music or Hollywood.”   This is definitely a breath of fresh air in our bloated celebrity culture.  Now if we can just get these guys to go back to the Cindy Crawford curves and stop hiring emaciated models.

Christian Siriano Will Design Melania Trump’s Dress for the Costume Institute Gala

Project Runway winner Christian Siriano has a lot to celebrate.  Melania Trump chose him to design her dress for for the Met ball, which she referred to as the “Oscars of fashion.”  She chose Siriano because he is “fierce, young, glamorous, elegant, sexy, big, and beautiful.”  That’s quite the compliment.  This year’s Gala will be sponsored by the Gap, which will also be dressing some celebrities.  All dresses will be auctioned off the following day, with proceeds going to the Costume Institute.  Other designers include Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors.  Isn’t it interesting that Michael Kors used to judge Christian Siriano on ‘Project Runway,’ and now they will be designing for the same event?
