I feel honored to have been part of The Lumineers‘ journey just prior to their ascent, and it’s wonderful to know they’ve stayed true to the original sound that their fans fell in love with. And those fans will be mighty excited to learn that their new tour dates are announced, along with the single off their new album, ‘Cleopatra,’ which you can pre-order today. Did Andy Cohen Just Call Amber Rose a Bigot?
When Amber Rose exposed Kanye West’s love for a certain sexual act in response to Kanye dragging her into his fight with Wiz Khalifa, many things occurred to me, none of which were that it was insulting to gay people. But leave it to Andy Cohen, the man on the pulse of pop culture to provide a little clarity. When asked about the incident, he said, “I actively don’t care. I just think it’s interesting that it seems like sticking a finger up someone’s butt is the biggest insult these days. That seems like a cultural sign of the times.” And there you have it.
“Aunt Vivian” Blasts Will Smith . . . AGAIN
If you’d like to prove you’re normal and easy to work with, referring to yourself in the third person is probably not the best way to go. When Janet Hubert visited ‘The Real’ to “clear the air” about her contentious past with Will Smith and her exit from ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ (which resulted in her character being replaced by another actor), she sounded just as angry as she did in a previous interview when she said, “There will never be a reunion … as I will never do anything with an a–hole like Will Smith. He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never, ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology … he doesn’t know the word.” Will Smith himself has addressed the controversy over the years, once telling an Atlanta radio station that “Janet Hubert wanted the show to be ‘The Aunt Viv of Bel Air Show,” and she once said, “I’ve been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.”

Caitlyn Jenner’s New Interview: “Kris Knew About My Transition When We Met”
There’s a lot of tension between Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner as to just how much Kris knew about Bruce’s gender issues when they first began dating, and Kris has adamantly insisted on her ignorance. According to a new interview with Caitlyn, she was a 36B when she first met Kris, and she actually had her breasts removed at the time. The rules, Caitlyn said, were that she could dress as a woman while traveling, but not in their marital home.
If Caitlyn’s account of the facts are accurate, I can imagine that Kris would face questions she is not prepared to answer. Was she so enamored with the prospect of marrying an Olympic gold medalist that she turned a blind eye to his gender issues? Was she so in love that she decided to simply look the other direction in hopes it was just a passing urge? Who knows. I’d imagine that Caitlyn is sick of Kris “playing the victim,” given some of their on-screen interactions, and if she did in fact know, then there’s far less sympathy headed her direction. Watch Caitlyn confess to the curious timeline below.

Heather McDonald Apologizes: Asks Chelsea Handler For Forgiveness
You have to hand it to Heather McDonald. She’s not a star that belongs in front of the camera, and because she won’t accept it, she’s clawed her way to the comfortable F-list, and she’s extending it far beyond her fifteen minutes by biting off her former boss’s fame. Given the success of Chelsea Handler’s show, I’m guessing McDonald is a talented comedy writer, but that doesn’t mean she’s deserving of the same stardom as others.
For those that have not followed the story, McDonald bad-mouthed Handler on a podcast and indicated that she was afraid of her former boss who she claimed easily dropped her friends and mistreated her staff. Handler fought back and accused McDonald of selling stories about Handler’s personal life to the tabloids.
In a she said/she said war of the words, I’m siding with Handler for a variety of reasons. First, the kind of woman who would sell tabloid stories is the same kind of woman that would publicly bad-mouth the woman who cut her paycheck. Second, if Handler lied, that’s clear cut defamation, and she’s too smart for that. And third, Us Weekly gave McDonald curious coverage that I questioned at the time, and if McDonald did exchange stories for an exclusive feature in the rag mag, then it’s explained. Watch her back peddle to Ross Matthews in the video below.
Grease: Live! Watch All the Performances Now
FOX joined the live television musical game, and if the early ratings are any indication, they hit it out of the ballpark. With a strong cast that specializes in acting, singing, AND dancing, they gave the audience everything they wanted, and apparently more. As an observational aside, I always find it interesting when the casting and costumes emulate the original actors that played the characters. It’s one thing to copy a story, it’s another to copy the casting decisions. Is Julianne Hough playing Sandy or is she playing Olivia Newton John’s version of Sandy? And is Vanessa Hudgens really playing Rizzo, or is she dressed up like Stockard Channing playing Rizzo? Speaking of Vanessa, as always, she stole the show. Having said that, everyone came to play, and it showed in each performance. Also, it’s refreshing to see original television offerings that bring families together. Watch the performances after the jump.

Go Inside the LA Art Show Premiere With Lubov Azria
The stars descended on the Los Angeles Convention Center to celebrate art at the opening night premiere party for the LA Art Show. Hosted by Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman, all proceeds from the special event benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® in its effort to fight pediatric cancer. The exclusive gathering featured unforgettable performance-art pieces, special installations and live music. As an internationally diverse art platform, the LA Art Show began in 2010 to bring together the most high-profile art pieces and provide a unique opportunity for collectors. The Dishmaster caught up with Lubov Azria on the red carpet, and the Chief Creative Officer of BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP graciously discussed the intersection of art and fashion, along with her favorite works of art.

How does art inform the inspiration for your collections?
In absolutely every way. The collections are about distilling what’s new and what next and art does just that. It provokes thought and innovation and when done right . . . it inspires.
What artists most inspire you?
Young and emerging artists with a fresh take on the established art world that have something to say. Artists that take risks but yet stay true to their own narrative and aesthetic.
What is the most memorable piece of art you ever purchased?
They say art is the gift that keeps on giving. This is especially true of a piece in my home by artist Howard Hallis. Every time I walk past it I see something new or notice something that I hadn’t seen before. It’s a great conversation starter, and I enjoy looking at it every day!
What city have you visited with the most thriving art scene?
[LAUGHS] I get to travel a lot and wherever I am I gravitate toward art exhibits and galleries. I have to say Beijing, because there was art everywhere and in a country where free speech and freedom of expression have not always been the norm, I feel the art has become the medium for people to tell their story, their dreams, their fears, and above all — their hopes.
