Craig Ferguson on “Larry King Now” — WATCH CLIPS

There’s something about Larry King interviews that ooze importance, which is a detail that was largely lost on me until Piers Morgan took his time slot and subsequently failed. Watch the suspender-wearing host talk to Craig Ferguson about his next move, David Letterman, and his final week on The Late Late Show.

‘American Masters: The Boomer List’ — WATCH TRAILER

To think I spent nearly my entire life hearing my father brag about how the “baby boomers are the greatest generation,” and now there’s a documentary to solidify his speech. Brought to you by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, ‘American Masters: The Boomer List’ premiers nationwide on PBS, Tuesday, September 23 from 9-10:30 PM. The film features intimate interviews with accomplished baby boomers, including Deepak Chopra, Billy Joel, Tommy Hilfiger, Kim Cattrall, and Erin Brockovich. Watch the trailer below.

Brian Williams Reports on His Daughter’s Role as Peter Pan

Though it’s slightly ludicrous for Brian Williams to report on his daughter’s success without revealing their kinship connection, it’s also very cute to watch, especially considering Williams’ well known pride in her accomplishments. Watch below to see the proud papa announce Allison Williams’ new part.

Music Spotlight: Josh Garrels

Even a Jew can appreciate a little Christian music from time to time. Born in Indiana, Josh Garrels’ folk sound is haunting, and he’s released six albums since his 2002 debut. The song below, entitled “Slip Away,” is off the soundtrack for his ‘The Sea In Between’ documentary, which filmed Garrels on the remote Mayne Island, BC, performing songs against a beautiful backdrop. Watch below.

Nick Viall Reveals He Had Sex With Andi Dorfman — SAY WHAT?!

There’s an argument to be made that sex is necessary for deciphering ones feelings rather than an experience that represents them. I’ve heard the former more than once, and it’s weak. Must things move to that level to fully understand one’s feelings? Past the age of 17, I’d like to think we’re more evolved. So when Nick Viall went on national television to reveal his sexual rendezvous with Andi Dorfman just before getting dumped by The Bachelorette, I clapped for his candor. It’s not classless, it’s important. Having sex with another person just days before your engagement is non-real-world ridiculousness, and Nick Viall deserves a relationship based in reality. Plus, Andi repeatedly refused a private conversation, so his push for clarity trumps privacy. As for what we’ve learned, it’s refreshing to know both men and women are equal opportunity offenders in the lead-on department. I’ll think about that the next time someone whispers sweet nothings in my ear in an attempt to get laid. We’re all in this together. WATCH BELOW

Macy Gray Releases “Bang Bang” — WATCH NOW

Staying true to her signature sound, Macy Gray released “Bang Bang.” The catchy tune is accompanied by a cinematic video, which features record-breaking swimmer Diana Nyad. The album, ‘The Way,’ is set for release October 7. Watch below, and for more on Macy Gray, read my interview with the star.

Freddie Prinze Jr. Calls Kiefer Sutherland “Unprofessional”

When an actor outs the bad behavior of another actor, you can be your bottom dollar there’s truth to the tale. Freddie Prinze Jr. recently confessed his hatred for Kiefer Sutherland on the set of ’24,’ saying “he’s the most unprofessional dude in the world,” and he just “wanted to quit the business” after working beside the star. Sutherland’s rep tried to squash the spat by saying, “This is the first he has heard of Freddie’s grievances,” and Sutherland “enjoyed working with [him] and wishes him the best.” FOX also came to Sutherland’s defense, insisting that he was “nothing but professional during the run of the show and is beloved by cast and crew.” They furthered that they “wouldn’t have done another ’24′ if Kiefer were anything like Freddie described.”

While it’s possible that this is a mere misunderstanding, it’s mighty suspicious. Oscar nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo is another former costar of Sutherland who has seconded the criticism, saying, “I’m afraid working with him proved to be hard. That young man was pretty angry.” As for Prinze, he won’t back down. He has since said that Sutherland suffers from a drinking problem, often showing up to set late and holding up production. If any of this is true, perhaps this revelation could cause change. As for the accolades from FOX, my experience behind-the-scenes in Hollywood has educated me on the extent of executives’ greed.  If you make them money, they’ll excuse just about anything. And for your viewing enjoyment, watch the clip below (sorry, Kiefer).
