You have to hand it to the women. She has eight mouths to feed and probably no income coming in from her ex-husband, so why not land two reality shows? TLC has signed Kate for ‘Twist of Kate’ and ‘Kate Plus 8.’ On ‘Twist of Kate,’ she will be offering advice to women inspired by her, and ‘Kate Plus 8’ will follow the format of ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8’ but without the dead weight that was Jon Gosselin. I predict Jon Gosselin will lodge a court battle to keep his kids off her show, in hopes of getting a big payout to drop a lawsuit. We’ll see what happens.
Oprah’s New Talk Show Revealed
Oprah will be doing a late night talk show on her new network, OWN. Radar Online reports that she will be interviewing guests at locations around the world. Because this is her own 24-hour network, I am sure you will be getting many announcements about the other shows that she will airing to fill the time. That sure is a lot of programming that she has to take care of! We’ll see how this little experiment works out. Everything she touches turns to gold though, so I have high hopes.

The New York Times Responds to Rupert Murdoch: ‘We’re Not Happy’
News Corp. Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch accused the New York Times of clearly being partial toward Obama in their coverage. In his interview with the National Press Club he said, “I have great respect for the Times, except it does have very clearly an agenda. You can see it very clearly in the way they choose their stories, what they put on Page 1 — anything that Mr. Obama wants.” He then went on to very comically proclaim that Fox News is in fact impartial, as they “have both sides in [their] news shows.” The Times responded by stating that “the goal of The New York Times is to cover the news as impartially as possible. Any claim to the contrary is simply wrong.” First of all, everyone is nuts. Certainly they are both biased in their coverage, but if the Times and Murdoch are going to get into a pissing contest about who leans more one way or the other, my biased guess is that Fox News would loose. They don’t just “lean” to the right, they infiltrate it.

Slash Wears ‘Team Coco’ Pin on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’
I guess it’s clear where Slash’s allegiance lies in the late night feud. He appeared on Leno to perform a song from his self-titled solo album, wearing a ‘Team Coco’ pin to support Conan O’Brien. This is a pretty crafty way of showing his Leno defiance, given that boycotting the show altogether would make Slash miss out on some beneficial album promotion. Click the link below to see a picture of Slash wearing the pin.
Max Weinberg Courts Jay Leno – Did he Betray Conan?
Movieline is reporting that Conan O’Brien’s band leader, Max Weinberg, is vying to replace Kevin Eubanks as Leno’s bandleader. He apparently has wanted the job as ‘The Tonight Show’ band leader for some time, and when Leno replaced Conan, Weinberg defected Team Coco. Movieline also points out that Weinberg and Conan may not have as close a relationship as originally thought, as Weinberg is “conspicuously absent” from Conan’s summer tour. Maybe if Conan goes to Fox he can employ Kevin Eubanks as his bandleader, and then he and Leno can call it even.
