Lea Michele is Too Skinny — What Happened?

I am on the fence about whether to post this. Is pointing out someone’s dramatic weight loss the same as pointing out their dramatic weight gain? I don’t have an answer — so here goes nothing. While looking at pictures of Lea Michele from the Teen Choice Awards, I noticed her alarming weight loss. I saw her first season of Glee, where she looked healthy, as if she actually ate food. Now, she’s almost unrecognizable. If you have read my previous posts, you know that I favor the curvy girls in the industry. That’s either because of my own “curves,” or because I have a lot of male friends, who always tell me that they don’t like super-skinny chicks, as they have no interest in “fu*king little boys.” When deciding whether to post about this, I asked myself what my mother would say, and I envisioned Lea Michele walking into my home, at which point my Jewish mother would immediately make her a home-cooked meal and say “you’re getting too thin!” If my mother would do it, I think it’s okay. To see a before picture of Lea Michele, look below.

Update: It occurred to me why Lea Michele dropped so much weight for the new season of Glee. She was told that she had to perform Britney Spears’ hit song (in a sports bra), Baby One More Time, and she freaked out and dropped a ton of weight. Not good. Watch the Britney trailer here.

Britney Spears is a Genius — Yeah, You Heard Me

I often argue with a very pompous guy I know about whether Britney Spears has actual talent.  When I tell him that other pop-tarts didn’t catapult to stardom the way Spears did (which has to count for something), he insists that it’s because those other stars were simply viewed as copy-cats, and had they been the first horse out of the gate, Spears would be the one struggling.  So I am dedicating this post to that take-the-stick-out-of-your-ass guy, so he can read it and learn a thing or two.  The first reason Spears is a genius, is because her career launching music video, ‘. . . Baby One More Time,’ was entirely her idea.  The director originally wanted it to be in cartoon-form, and Britney protested, suggesting that shooting in a school would have greater appeal to her fan base.  She also came up with the legendary naughty-school-girl outfits, after she disliked the director’s “dorky” costume choices.  Furthermore, she crafted the videos for both ‘Toxic’ and ‘Womanizer.’  The final evidence of Britney’s business savvy, is that she knows her limitations.  Many performers in the industry gain their initial success by singing songs written by others.  When they make a little dough, they start to get arrogant and insist on writing their own terrible music (Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, etc . . . ).  Britney; however, chooses to stick with her strengths, and churns out great performances, while singing songs written by the best songwriters in the industry.  I’d also like to note her well-crafted career resurrection after her personal troubles.  Yes, she has great management (Larry Rudolph).  But many artists have great management, and still could not pull-off such a drastic turn-around.  And lastly –Go Britney!

Britney Spears is One of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in America

FHM placed the legendary Britney Spears as #4 on it’s 100 sexiest women list.  It’s no secret that I am a die hard Britney Spears fan.  After all, how could I possibly run on the treadmill without singing ‘Oops! . . . I Did it Again,’ and picturing myself in a see through sequined outfit.  So it only makes sense that she’d get picked.  The other women in the top 10 include: Marisa Miller; Megan Fox, Kristen Stewart; Blake Lively; Jessica Alba; Lea Michele; Lady Gaga; Taylor Swift; and Leighton Meester.  Go Britney!

Britney Spears Beats Ashton Kutcher in Twitter Followers

I can’t decide if this news makes me happy or sad. On the one hand, I’m so in love with Britney Spears that I often find myself dancing in front of my mirror with a fake snake around my shoulders singing “I’m a Slave for You.” On the other hand, Ashton is the King of Twitter. He practically launched the social medium, and I hate to see a king lose his crown. I’ve therefore decided that Ashton and Britney are officially the King AND Queen of Twitter, and they need to have a cup of coffee to discuss what appearances they will make with these titles. Oh to be a fly on the wall during an Ashton/Britney conversation.

Larry Rudolph is Still Managing Britney Spears

The greatest piece of news that came out of Britney Spears singing Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone,’ is that Larry Rudolph is still managing Spears’ career.  In an interview with music producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Darkchild insisted that he didn’t leak the track, as he would “never leak something without Britney Spears approval, without Larry Rudolph, without Jive Records.”  Larry Rudolph managed Britney Spears when she originally shot to fame with ‘Baby One More Time,’ and she fired him shortly after marrying Kevin Federline.  She brought him back to resurrect her career after her breakdown.  I haven’t heard much about him since, and I was concerned that she sacked him and the press never got wind.  I am happy to report that my speculation was amiss.  Listen to the Britney version of ‘Telephone’ below.

Kevin Federline Apologizes to Shar Jackson for Cheating on her with Britney Spears

On this season of ‘Celebrity Fit Club,’ Kevin Federline apologized to his ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson, during a pretty cringe-worthy scene.  Though Britney Spears is never directly mentioned by name, it is clear what he is apologizing for.  He claims to have “got caught up in [his] own selfishness.  You might remember that Spears and Federline got together while Shar was pregnant with her second child with Federline.  She did an interview at the time with US Weekly, saying that they were very much together when he took up with Spears.  Spears claimed during an infamous, tearful interview with Matt Lauer, that she did not know about Jackson when she began dating Federline.  Got that?  Watch below.

Ke$ha Apologizes to Britney Spears and Justin Bieber

First she attacked Britney Spears, and then she insults Justin Bieber.  She recently said that Justin Bieber was a “tiny little baby” that she wanted to “push around in a carriage.”  I would believe that it was just a stupid, non-malicious statement had she not previously insulted Britney Spears . . . twice.  Hence, I’m still convinced she’s an asshole.  Well, she got an appropriate backlash from Britney and Bieber fans – which, when combined, pretty much means all of America.  So she “apologized.”  See her Britney apology below.
