Howard Stern Responds to Elle MacPherson’s Anti-Semitic Remark — “It Was Weird”

Howard Stern responded to Elle MacPherson’s anti-Semitic comment today, saying, “It did strike me as odd. I didn’t get offended by it. But it did take me aback.” Stern said that he “felt like [he] was back in high school and one of the popular girls was making fun of [him].” Robin Quivers then chimed in, saying, “Yes, she was very mean-girlish.” Though I appreciate Stern’s effort to be kind to MacPherson by downplaying the issue, I still maintain that it was an anti-Semitic remark. When you talk about cultural stereotypes with a negative undertone, you tread on thin ice, especially when it’s not your religion your discussing. And furthermore, she mentioned his religion one too many times for it to be ignored. I’m not suggesting she’s a bigot. But she needs to be more responsible.

Unless you’re a Jew, you’re not allowed to comment on the cultural stereotypes of Jews. That’s a lesson Elle MacPherson needs to learn after an interview-gone-wrong with Howard Stern, when she told Stern he sounded “absolutely Jewish” after he asked if her children mind seeing naked photos of their mother in her house. “You sound like a Jewish mother,” she said. Stern then said he saw a naked picture of his own mother once and was traumatized, which was quickly followed by MacPherson’s quip that she can certainly imagine that if “she looks like [him].” Stern took a swipe back and referenced her failed relationships, saying, “Now I understand why these guys leave you.” MacPherson laughed it off — but I didn’t. I’m a Jewish Dishmaster. And I’m not happy. Judging from Stern’s abrupt end to the interview — he wasn’t happy either. Listen below and fast forward to the end to hear the comment in question. Artie Lange on Conan With Nick DiPaulo — Still Looks Terrible

I really want to believe that Artie Lange is sober. But I remember his days on Howard Stern when he consistently insisted he was sober, and he wasn’t. Unfortunately, we know how that sad story ended. So when I saw him on Conan O’Brien to promote his new radio show, I thought: “Please look good. Please convince me you’re okay.” Sadly, he looks awful. He told Conan that his heroine days are behind him, and he even joked about his addiction. I know that he’s a comedian, and I know that comedians make fun of their own lives. But his riff sounds all too familiar to the same bit he threw to Howard Stern. I have no idea whether he’s still using. I can only hope he has his act together. As for Howard Stern, Stern won’t allow him back on the show to tell his story because, according to Stern, he doesn’t “feel strong enough within [himself] or that [he’d] be doing the right thing by him, because [he doesn’t] want to do the wrong thing for Artie. [He] just want[s] Artie to stay alive.”

Howard Stern recently met Sandra Bullock at Jimmy Kimmel’s party in Los Angeles, and he quoted Paul McCartney, saying, Jesse James “took [his] lucky break and broke it in two.” He said that because of how much he loved Bullock and how undeserving and lucky Jesse James was to have landed her in the first place, let alone letting her go. I’m posting her very funny Oscar bit below to prove Stern’s point. She sure is beautiful and funny. In fact, I’d like to marry her. I wonder if she’s willing.

‘The Voice’: Did Adam Levine Abandon Javier Colon?


NBC has two seasons to make the winners of The Voice into huge stars and after that, they will lose all credibility. American Idol may be threatened by The Voice, but Idol has made some of the biggest stars in history and it is therefore more than just a talent show. So this brings me to a very important question: What happened to Javier Colon? Where is he? Why isn’t he booked on late night shows singing a hit single? When is his album coming out? And most importantly — why the fu*k isn’t Adam Levine doing anything to propel his career? Adam appeared on Howard Stern yesterday and mentioned Colon, saying that he’s trying to help him, and Colon is “struggling.” He also made a moderately condescending remark about how the winners have to take their career by the reigns after the show is finished. Perhaps he should look to Blake Shelton who took Dia Frampton on his tour. You don’t get to sit on your throne touting that you “won” season one, especially when the contestant you won with can’t sustain a career.

Piers Morgan on Chelsea Handler — Verbal Smackdown

For those that think Chelsea Handler got her job because of her relationship with the head of E!, I’d encourage you to watch the video below. Piers Morgan attempted to spar with Handler, who trumped every one of his jabs with a better barb of her own. When Piers said Handler “bored” him during her appearance on Piers’ CNN show, she responded with, “why did you get fired from America’s Got Talent?” Piers then referred to Howard Stern’s Super Bowl commercial where Stern blasted children with a big hose, and said, “I’d love to blast you with a big hose.” Handler countered with, “too bad your hose isn’t big enough to blast me with.” Watch below after the jump.

Courtney Cox is a crazy bag of nuts. She appeared on Howard Stern today to promote Cougar Town, and Stern predictably asked her questions about David Arquette. It was immediately clear that she’s still in love with him, and she’s jealous of Arquette’s new relationship. Need I go further? Can’t these two just work it out? It’s ridiculous.
