MTV’s ‘Real World: New Orleans’ Trailer – WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK (video)

MTV released the new trailer for ‘The Real World: New Orleans,’ and, true to form, it looks like a giant piece of shit (yes mom, I used the word shit). What do you think the conversation over at MTV entails when they pick their cast. Here’s my guess: “Gee, I like that girl because she’s an alcoholic. Oh yeah – and that guy because he has no personality but he likes to punch other dudes in the face.” If the douches over at MTV read this, just know that it takes many years to lose me as a fan. I officially stopped watching last season, and I’m boycotting this season based on the trailer alone. Start thinking of ways to win me back (such as firing your casting directors, for example).

Michael Bay Confirms Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for ‘Transformers 3’

Michael Bay has officially replaced Megan Fox in ‘Transformers 3.’ He’s chosen Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to play Shia Labeouf’s love interest in the film. Michael Bay loves to give himself credit for “discovering talent,” and I am sure this will be no exception. By “discovering talent,” I mean taking the hottest chick on the planet, putting her in his film in a very skimpy outfit, and giving her zero lines. Good job Bay. You sure know how to pick them.

Eminem Shows No Sign of Backing Down – ‘I’m Not Afraid’ is His Best Song

When I play Eminem’s new ‘I’m Not Afraid’ song in my car, I imagine myself standing on my seat with my head through the sun roof screaming “YEAH! YEAH! I CAN DO ANYTHING!!”. Then I realize that could cause a car accident – and poof! I’m back to reality. I’d like you to listen to the song below, and disclose the fantasy it inspires.

Leann Rimes Takes Responsibility for Being a Homewrecker – Right Before her Album Drops

I find it really convenient that Leann Rimes would tell People Magazine that she “takes responsibility” for having a “selfish” affair with a married man with kids, shortly before the release of her new album. If you wanted to salvage any semblance of respect, you should have discussed it much sooner to avoid this admission looking like a self-interested PR ploy. And to think – this is the nice version of my original post.

Shiri Appleby – Underrated Actress of the Week

I’ve started a new post on my blog, where I pick my favorite actor or actress that doesn’t quite get the praise or recognition they deserve. This week, I’ve chosen Shiri Appleby, who I saw on the unfortunately ill-fated show, ‘Six Degrees.’ Appleby now stars in The CW drama, ‘Life Unexpected,’ but is perhaps best known as Liz Parker in ‘Roswell.’ Personally, my favorite role is that of Anya in ‘Six Degrees’ where she lived out my older man/younger woman fantasy.

Olivia Munn Tries Out for ‘The Daily Show’ (Video)

Olivia Munn tried out for a spot as a guest correspondent on ‘The Daily Show.’  I have to admit that I don’t know if she’s nutty enough to pull this off.  To be fair though, she’s obviously extremely nervous in the clip so I will withhold my full judgment for now.  I’d encourage you to watch the video below, because many of Jon Stewart’s regulars appear in her bit, and they quickly turn it into something very funny.  Samantha Bee will always be my favorite.

Scarlett Johansson Gets Called Out by Esquire Magazine – "You Ditched Us"

Esquire Editor-in-Chief David Granger revealed that Scarlett Johansson was set to appear on the cover of their ‘Women We Love’ issue as the selected best looking woman in America, but she dropped out at the last minute. They chose ‘Mad Men’ star Christina Hendricks instead. First of all, I’m all for calling out celebrities for their asshole moves, but by revealing this incriminating information about Scarlett you managed to drag Christina Hendricks name through the mud as well. Do you think she’s happy you let the public know that she was the second choice for the cover? As an aside, Hendricks was the better choice anyways. Using Scarlett would have been a completely unoriginal idea.

Fran Drescher’s Husband Comes Out of the Closet – Holy Crap

Fran Drescher’s husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, has come out of the closet.  The pair were high school sweethearts and were married for 21 years.  He came out after they divorced.  Fran said she’s okay with it, and they are such good friends that they often set each other up on dates.  That’s disturbingly healthy.  In related news, when I told my gay friend about this revelation he said, “Uh . . . Duh! – Fran Drescher is a gay man’s wet dream!”  I’m not quite sure what to make of that.

‘Glee’ Spoiler: Will Terri Return to the Show?

Jessalyn Gilsig confirms that her future on ‘Glee’ is “uncertain.”  Fox has yet to pick her up for next season, so she has absolutely no clue if she will return.  While this doesn’t sound good for her, I will say that I’d like to see her return to the show.  The writers may have backed themselves into a corner though, as they made her character so insanely unlikable that I can’t imagine that anyone would root for a reunion with Matthew Morrison.  It’s a shame too, because Terri and Mr. Shuester had way more chemistry than he and Emma ever did (the Emma/Will storyline was a big misfire).

Tom Selleck Confirms Talks for ‘Three Men and a Baby’ Sequel

Though I am usually opposed to Hollywood’s creatively devoid attempt to cash-in by destroying my favorite films with terrible sequels, this is an exception. Tom Selleck (also known as the only man on the planet that can successfully rock a mustache) confirms that he’d be interested in making a sequel to ‘Three Men and a Baby’, which is tentatively being called ‘Three Men and a Bride.’ He said he looks forward to reuniting with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg, and he knows a script is already in the works. ‘Three Men and a Little Lady’ is one of my favorite sequels of all time, so the idea of making a third film sounds great.  Also, did I mention that I’m very attracted to Tom Selleck?
