Gossip Girl Spoiler: Are Dan and Blair Going to Hook Up?!

Written by , Posted in General

When the Executive Producer of Gossip Girl was asked by Mike Ausiello whether Dan and Blair would hook up, she said “There are only so many combinations [you can explore] on the show, so I think you have to be open to all of them at some point. So, certainly, we have an open mind when it comes to them… Those two are really gold when they’re together. They have great on-screen chemistry.”  I’m not quite sure how I feel about this.  The good news though, is that she also confirmed that there will be some great Chuck and Blair drama coming up.

Jessica Simpson Finally Talks About John Mayer’s Playboy Interview

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

I confess that I have never really been a Jessica Simpson fan.  I found her to always superficially answer hard-hitting questions, with statements like “I’m at a great place in my life.”  Not anymore.  She finally disclosed how she felt about the infamous “mom jeans” criticism, and about dating such a giant D-Bag/John Mayer.  I officially like her now.  Watch the interview below.

Drea De Matteo is Leaving Desperate Housewives

Written by , Posted in General

Drea De Matteo is leaving Desperate Housewives, and her “explosive” last show is set to air on May 10th.  There are many rumors concerning her departure.  Many are speculating that De Matteo did not get along with the other housewives.  Other reports state that she was let go because of the show’s ailing ratings.  Marc Cherry, the show’s creator, insists that these rumors are false and she is simply leaving to spend more time with her family.  Here’s what I know about Hollywood: where there’s smoke . . .

Howard Stern Hates Jay Leno

Written by , Posted in General

If you google Howard Stern you will find thousands of articles on how Stern bashed Jay Leno on the CBS Early Show.  Why the venom?  Though Stern does not say it in the interview, here is the story in a nutshell: Jay Leno hired “Stuttering John Melendez” as an announcer for ‘The Tonight Show’ after Edd Hall left.  Melendez was working for Stern at the time, and Stern felt that Leno was shady, by not calling Stern first to give him the head’s up.  Melendez has since been moved from the announcer position to a behind the scenes writer, which Stern kindly refers to as a “demotion.”  Stern also claims that Leno stole many of his comedy bits from his show.  Watch him bash Leno below.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Will Star in Woody Allen’s New Film

Written by , Posted in Uncategorized

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, will star alongside Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard in Woody Allen’s new project.  The film will begin production over the summer in France.  This news somewhat confuses me.  First of all, I am not a huge Carla Bruni fan.  Partly because of all the many controversies I have read about her (you can look those up), and partly because I am jealous of her for being married to Nicolas Sarkozy, a man on my sexiest Presidents of all time list.  If she takes Bill Clinton, I will boycott the film.  This is not surprising though, as Bruni has been trying to launch a career in the entertainment industry for some time now.  Watch a clip of her singing below.  I have to admit, I enjoy her voice.

Viacom is Removing ‘The Daily Show’ and ‘The Colbert Report’ from HULU

Written by , Posted in General

Comedy Central and HULU were unable to agree on a price, and the shows are therefore being pulled from HULU.  The actual numbers involved in the negotiation are unclear, but it is speculated that, in addition to receiving a portion of the ad revenue, Comedy Central wanted an upfront payment. This is a huge blow to HULU, as ‘The Daily Show’ and ‘The Colbert Report’ are two of the most watched shows on the site.  Fear not, though.  The shows will still be available on the Comedy Central site.

Gilligan’s Island Remake in the Works

Written by , Posted in General

This might be the worst idea ever!  Does Hollywood have any original ideas left or are they just lazy?  Sherwood Schwartz, the creator of the original television show will serve as Executive Producer.   Let’s hope this will at least be cheap to make.  The good news is that Schwartz is rumored to be courting Michael Cera to play Gilligan, which could be pretty funny.  I’m still against this on principle though.  I have posted a picture from a made for television ‘Gilligan’s Island’ movie as evidence that this story has been recycled one too many times.
