Brooke Shields Talks Andre Agassi Divorce

Hell hath no fury like a woman who can’t get over something 14 years later. While interviewing divorce-lawyer-diva Laura Wasser during her stint as Today Show guest host, Shields brought up her divorce from Andre Agassi, and one of his nasty comments. It’s shocking, really. I mean — this is the first I’ve heard of someone saying something contentious during a relationship’s demise. Listen below for the extremely offensive comment. Then you should cry a tear for Brooke Shields.

‘Cookin’ With Gas’ at The Groundlings — MUST-SEE COMEDY

Cookin' With Gas

When you enter The Groundlings theater, it feels as if you’ve discovered a far-off place in LA LA LAND where everyone comes to play and imagination is limitless. The sketch comedy troupe was formed in 1974, and its produced some of Hollywood’s best players, including Jimmy Fallon, Will Farrell, Cheryl Hines, Jack Black, Lisa Kudrow, and many more.

Last Thursday, I attended ‘Cookin’ With Gas,’ an all-improv show that’s ruled by suggestions from the audience. Some shout-outs are more original than others, and it’s up to the director to steer the ship in the most creative way possible.

Though the Main Company make their on-the-spot antics seem easy, it’s far from it. In fact, the mere rigor of The Groundlings audition process explains why this heavily vetted group can produce such comedic variety with so little preparation. They’re play-time powerhouses, and the packed theater each week is deserved.

Though there are many shows on the schedule worth seeing, ‘Cookin’ With Gas’ is a sensational standout. And in case you’re looking for the right reason to attend — I’d advise you to bring a date. You can tell a lot about people by what makes them laugh the hardest.

The Michael J. Fox Show — A Full Review

If you know The Dishmaster, then you know that network comedies are outside my Tivometer. They’re too schmaltzy for my taste, and I often can’t get past the laugh-track. That said, The Michael J. Fox show won me over. The single-camera series follows Mike Henry, a news anchor who side-lined his career after his Parkinsons diagnosis. He’s forced to play Mr. Mom, and he’s not very good at it. The real-life inspired antics are entertaining, as are the loving jokes at Mike’s expense. As for Michael J. Fox, it goes without saying that he’s an endearing guy who you want to root for — on camera and off. And this is a show I’m rooting for. Watch the trailer below.

Justin Bieber’s Bodyguards Carry Him up the Great Wall of China?

For those outraged by Justin Bieber’s bodyguards carrying him up the Great Wall of China, please find solace in knowing that all bad things must come to an end, and like all worthless pop-tarts, Bieber’s ship will tank, and he’ll be fighting foreclosure as the world remembers his nostalgic days of grace, which entailed drop-crotch pants, Selena Gomez, and sizzurp (allegedly, of course). And because I still won’t post paparazzi pictures (even though this one is deserved), click HERE to see the douchbaggery in question. And before you preach about his talent, I’ve posted a performance below.

Note: I don’t wish ill-will on anyone. Even Justin Bieber.

The Demise of Kanye West — What Went Wrong?

Hollywood gives all its players a chance to re-live high school . . . the good way. Everyone has six degrees of separation, and that includes A-listers. If you emit disrespect in any capacity — word gets around. Shockingly, this close click of insiders tell me that Kanye West is actually a nice guy. Though it’s seemingly shocking at first glance, further inquiry sheds some light on his current darkness. In short? The man can’t handle the media.

With every attack, Kanye trades humility for haughtiness, pounding his chest while screaming about his world domination. My arm-chair psychology degree tells me that the man is simply insecure, and with each jab, he throws a boulder. His recent outrage surrounds Jimmy Kimmel, who made fun of the rapper’s recent BBC 1 interview (see below), using children to reenact his pompous declarations. I can only assume Kimmel thought of children because Kanye was in fact acting like a spoiled child, whining about his legos while slamming the floor.

Many people speculate that Kanye’s demise began with his mother’s passing, assuming she reeled in these rants. Since then, it can also be assumed that he’s surrounded himself with “yes-men,” and only agrees to do interviews where he may speak freely (he was sandbagged by Matt Lauer — and never quite recovered). My advice to Kanye West is to dismantle his twitter, find some real friends to reign him in, and to host Saturday Night Live. If that doesn’t work — call Alec Baldwin. He’s a master at cleaning up his temper tantrums — and Kanye can learn a thing or two.

Kanye v. Kimmel — It’s War!

There are many words to describe Kanye West, but humorless tops the list. West recently interviewed with BBC 1, in which he engaged in one of his standard pompous rants that’s sadly become a staple for the singer. When Jimmy Kimmel hilariously mocked it with children saying the same lines, West had a predictable twitter-fit. Watch the video below, and Kanye — if you’re listening — have a laugh at least once in your life. No one likes a curmudgeon.
