Tiger Woods New Nike Commercial Features the Voice of his Dead Father

I don’t even know where to begin.  The new Nike commercial is a feeble attempt by Nike to humanize Tiger, by using his dad’s voice to ask some illusive questions that would probably be a lot more specific if he was alive today.  For example, his dad might ask why he didn’t just hire prostitutes instead of having to waste so much time texting five thousand different women.  Wait . . . that was my question.  For goodness sakes, how much pussy does one man need?  Good thing my primary demographic for this website is women, because I am afraid of how the men might answer that.  Watch below.

Rihanna Debuts New Single on ‘American Idol’ . . . in a Catsuit

Rihanna debuted her new single, ‘Rock Star 101,’ on ‘American Idol’ tonight.  The performance consisted of her saying the line “I’m a rock star” over and over again while throwing her head around and walking around the stage.  The judges were conspicuously absent from the performance, which means that it was pre-taped, and not live like the show hopes you’ll believe.  The best part of it was her outfit, which I will describe in case you’re not in the mood to play the video below.  Here goes: it’s very tight and very leather . . . or pleather – I can’t tell.

Celebrity Gossip Review – Dish Catch up Time

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey announced the breakup of their 5 year relationship via twitter, less than two months after using twitter to declare their love for one another.

Sandra Bullock has broken her silence to squash rumors of a sex tape between her and Jesse James.  What I find particularly interesting, is that this is the only rumor that she has come forward to squash.  I suppose it’s because it’s the only one that she is directly involved with.  I guess she won’t confirm or deny whether Jesse James is a nazi.

Kate Gosselin responded to Jon’s custody petition by reminding everyone that she is appearing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to provide for her children.  You go girl!  It’s not like she can rely on Jon for financial support, considering he destroyed his public image, and I imagine laying brick won’t support 8 children.

George Clooney debunked rumors that he and his non smiling girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, have split up, calling the story “made up.”

Matt Damon thinks marriage is a ridiculous idea, and doesn’t think it’s possible to spend your entire life with someone without being “totally driven crazy.”  He then said his wife is the best thing that ever happened to him.  Hmmm…..

Jennifer Lopez Recording Session Outtake Leaked

Audio from Jennifer Lopez’s recording session has leaked, and it’s pretty funny. She is covering Barbara Streisand’s song, ‘Enough is Enough,’ and has some trouble getting in key.  It’s nice to see her laugh at herself and be a little self-deprecating.  Listen below.

Slash on Axl Rose: "I Know How Vehemently he Hates me"

Slash stated in a recent interview that he would welcome having a conversation with Axl Rose, but he doubts it would happen because he knows how “vehemently he hates [him].”  He went on to say that he thinks Rose’s comeback record was phenomenal.  Aww….so cute.  Maybe we have a reunion in the works.  After all, Rose’s anger toward Slash costs him the hundreds of millions of dollars that he would earn with a real ‘Guns N’ Roses’ reunion.  It’s time to get the original guys together!!

‘When You’re Strange’ – New Documentary on ‘The Doors’ Debuts April 9th

I confess I never really understood the appeal of ‘The Doors.’  I knew a lot of guys that had Jim Morrison’s poster on their wall, but I just never got it.  Then I went to Paris and saw Morrison’s grave, and, at the very least, I understood the amount of love people had for Morrison.  The interest in the group doesn’t seem to wane, and this new documentary reflects that.  The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2009, to great reviews.  The only complaint involved the narration, so Johnny Depp was brought on to re-narrate the film.  This is not the first film about the group.  Oliver Stone directed a Doors biopic in 1991, but fans complained that it was historically inaccurate.  Unlike Stone’s biopic, it seems that writer/director Tom DiCillo got his facts straight.  See the trailer below.

Slash Streams his new Solo Album Online

Dangerous or genius?  Slash is streaming his new solo album online for free.  The self titled album is available for purchase on April 6th, but click the link below to hear it now.  Some of the collaborations include: Ozzy Osbourne; Chris Cornell; Fergie; Dave Grohl; Kid Rock; and Iggy Pop.  This is not the first time an artist has made their album available for free online.  In 2007, Radiohead made their album available online for whatever price people wanted to pay.  Unlike Radiohead though, Slash is not giving away the album, he is just sampling it, probably hoping that consumers will get excited and purchase it when it comes out.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Beats ‘American Idol’

For the first time ever, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ beat ‘American Idol’ in the ratings race.  Monday’s ‘DWTS’ had a total of 23 million viewers, while ‘Idol’ had 21.8 million viewers on Tuesday.  In defense of ‘Idol,’ it still has more viewers in the coveted 18-49 category, which is all advertisers really care about.  Why?  Because back in the day when certain networks were losing in the ratings race, they created this arbitrary 18-49 category, arguing that it is better to win the ratings race with younger viewers rather than total viewers overall.  Apparently, younger viewers are more likely to buy new products, as they are less set in their ways.  It’s all hogwash if you ask me.  ‘Idol’ is going downhill no matter how you play it.  Ever since producer Nigel Lythgoe left the show to start ‘So you Think you Can Dance,’ it simply hasn’t been the same.

[Remember the good old days when Paula was there?]

Pictures from ‘The Black Eyed Peas’ Concert in Los Angeles

I think Lady Gaga has upped the ante on concert attire.  Since she started her over the top fashion presence, everyone seems to want to copy it.  Below you’ll see pictures of Fergie from the ‘Black Eyed Peas’ concert on May 29, 2010.  Before Gaga, Fergie never would have dressed like that.

Lee Dewyze is my ‘American Idol’ favorite . . . again

Well, I finally get the chance to say I called it.  Okay . . . not yet, but I predict I will be able to say that soon, as I still think he’ll win the show.  I picked Lee Dewyze as my favorite, at a time when the judges were heavily criticizing him.  Tonight he was fantastic again, and Simon said “I’ve always believed in you.”  Yeah right Simon!  He’s just trying to save himself from the embarrassment of not calling this guy as the front runner earlier on.  Anyways, watch his performance below.
