The View Talks Bill Cosby Rape Allegations

To quote the very eloquent Nicolle Wallace on the Bill Cosby rape accusations, “This is either a tragedy or a tragedy.” Ether a dozen women were raped by a powerful man that paid to keep things quiet, or a beloved, innocent man is losing in the court of public opinion. Watch The View handle this very messy set of facts below.

The Democrats Lost: Nicolle Wallace Gives a Rundown

If you have a limited amount of time and a lot of interest in politics, then you need only look to Nicolle Wallace and her ninja election rundown on The View. Though we all know that Republicans took control, Wallace answered many pressing questions about what’s next. I’ve bulleted her key points below for ease of read, but watch the video at your leisure to see Wallace in action. The View sure landed a big fish, and it’s nice to see a level-headed Republican on the panel.

  • The Senate will be younger and more female
  • All Presidents face a backlash in their sixth year
  • Had the Democrats aligned instead of maligned Obama, then perhaps Obama’s supporters would have voted, thereby increasing the Democrats’ chances.
  • The Republicans rejected Tea Party antics in favor of less crazy leaders to represent its party.
  • Pot is legal in two more states, like it or not.
  • A Democratic President is more likely to get stuff done with a Republican controlled congress, because it’s easier “when it’s just the White House negotiating with one other side.”

Jenny McCarthy Dishes on Donnie’s Penis

Jenny McCarthy delivered some dynamite deets on Donnie Wahlberg’s bedroom behavior, most notably the shape, size, and color of his manly member. If only this version of McCarthy had voiced her voracious sexual appetite on ‘The View.’ Watch below to see McCarthy tell Andy Cohen, Tom Bergeron, and the entire Watch What Happens Live audience about Donnie’s man meat.

The View Returns for Season 18 Refresh: How They’d Do?

The ladies of The View returned with a new look, a new panel, and a tiny table. It’s too soon to judge their chemistry, but the ratings speak for itself. The debut garnered an 8-year high in total viewers, and a 3-year high in key demos. As for the standard concerns, there’s a few noteworthy elements. First, Rosie O’Donnell was on her best behavior, with the exception of an acerbic, random attack on Woody Allen, which was clearly not on the hot-topic list. It’s an easy guess that the outspoken comedian’s restraint will wane quickly. Rosie Perez was a standout star, speaking her mind with sass and conviction, and Nicolle Wallace found an opportunity to insert her political perspective, of which we’ll hopefully see more. As for Whoopi, she’s a signature staple, properly steering the ship on all key points. The only issue so far is their failed attempt at a fun factor, and my advice to The View’s new producer is to steal a writer from Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, because their attempt at an on-air game was awful. Watch the clip below to see the panel in action.

Fox & Friends Thinks Domestic Violence is Funny

The Baltimore Ravens released Ray Rice after TMZ published a very disturbing elevator video of a fight between him and his then fiance, which ended in Rice knocking her unconscious, followed by a feeble attempt to help her. The two married shortly thereafter, and she refused to testify against him. Though the NFL insists it did not see the video until today, many speculate that they had previously viewed the video and simply succumbed to pressure by suspending him upon it’s public release, instead of the much more lenient two-game suspension they previously gave him. And now that you have that back story, watch the video below to see Fox & Friends make light of domestic violence with bad jokes about “taking the stairs.” It’s nice to see that Elisabeth Hasselbeck has grown a sense of humor since leaving The View though. Sometimes a change of venue is just what the doctor ordered.

The View Picks It’s Panel: Official Selection Announced

After endless tests, internal discord, backstage drama, and public pleas from interested parties, The View has finally selected their new panel, which will include: Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O’Donnell, Nicolle Wallace, and Rosie Perez. The daytime chat-fest has had a well-publicized refresh since Barbara Walters retirement, which preceded the exit of Sherri Shepherd, Jenny McCarthy, and longtime Executive Producer Bill Getty. Wallace served as communications chief for President George W. Bush’s reelection campaign and advised John McCain’s 2008 campaign. She is also a political analyst for MSNBC, and a smart choice for the network. The View needs a right-wing woman who can offer an alternative take without being a combative, straight-party stumper (yes, that’s a hit at Elisabeth Hasselbeck). As for Perez, it’s clear ABC wanted a Latina woman with a name, and she fits the part. It remains to be seen how Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg will work together, as it’s widely known that Rosie has trouble playing in the sandbox with others. That being said, tension brings ratings, and when the competition is a cheesy fluff-fest (The Talk), it’s important to establish a discernible identity. Time will tell.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Blasts Rosie’s Return to ‘The View’

Seven years ago Rosie O’Donnell famously left ‘The View’ after a heated fight with Elisabeth Hasselbeck over Rosie’s controversial comments surrounding the United States government’s actions in Iraq. At the time, Rosie turned to Elisabeth to defend her amidst the media criticism, and Elisabeth refused. The ensuing argument involved finger-pointing, split-screening, and zero commercial breaks. Rosie never returned, but the ladies recently reunited for Barbara’s farewell show, which was seemingly sans drama. It’s since been rumored that Rosie will rejoin ‘The View’ beside Whoopi Goldberg, and Elisabeth pounced at the thought, proclaiming that Rosie “spit in the face” of our military, the network, and Elisabeth herself. She also said she suspects Rosie’s deal has been in negotiation for some time, given Rosie’s ease and ownership of the stage during Barbara’s farewell show.

While Elisabeth’s hot-headed immaturity is expected, these comments are especially shocking. First, they don’t make sense. Rosie O’Donnell already mended the melee with ABC during a pre-taped return to ‘The View’ prior to Barbara’s farewell show. Second, if ‘The View’ can fix a fight with Star Jones, they can certainly do the same with Rosie. Third, Rosie O’Donnell is an avid supporter of the United States military, despite her foot-in-mouth comment seven years ago. Her son attends The Citadel, and she has made many discrete donations to show her support. To resuscitate an argument that is seven years old can only indicate a hidden agenda. After all, if we are all held accountable for our worst moments, none of us would ever work again, including Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Perhaps she’s peeved that she got axed from the high-paying gig, and she’s gunning for Rosie as a result. There’s no other explanation. Listen to Elisabeth’s hateful comments below, and watch the second video for a refresh on the original argument.

Jason Biggs Defends Jenny Mollen on ‘The View’ — WATCH NOW

Jason Biggs is a likable guy, as is his wife, Jenny Mollen. Unfortunately, they are lesser than the sum of their parts. Biggs catapulted to fame with the success of the ‘American Pie’ franchise, and he’s still of an elevated status. His wife has gained fame as a writer, most recently releasing, ‘I Like You Just the Way I am.’ The book recounts a personal story about a threesome gone wrong, in what both her and Jason call a “comedy of errors.’ Though it’s cute when couples promote one another’s success, this case is an exception. Jason is too big a star to get caught up in such a public exposé of his private life, and by mentioning Jason in every interview, it appears as if Jenny is using his status to elevate her own. If I were to advise both parties on the proper PR move, I’d encourage them to carve their own career path.

Biggs visited ‘The View’ after the very feisty ladies took aim at his wife for tempering the most salacious parts of her story, and he eloquently explained her trepidation. He insisted that her contradictory character was in large part due to the nature of daytime television, and he also couldn’t resist a barb back at Candace Cameron, who previously chastised their marital choices. Though Biggs’ debating skills are incredibly impressive, I have to once again emphasize that Jason Biggs should be spending time talking about his own career, instead of getting tied up in this mess. Watch below.
