This is so brilliant I watched it twice to believe it. After 9 million views and a lot of speculation, Jimmel Kimmel finally confessed to having orchestrated the viral twerk video in which its star gets lit on fire while attempting an upside down ass-shake on her door. If you’re going to compete in late-night televison, you have to get creative, and this sure was creative. WATCH BELOW.

Miley Cyrus Debuts Wrecking Ball — WATCH NOW
There’s a cartoonish irony associated with singing lyrics like, “Don’t you ever say I just walked away. I will always want you. I can’t live a lie,” will simultaneously swinging naked on a wrecking ball and licking a hammer. I can’t help but ask the obvious questions. For instance, Did you actually try? Because something tells me that however hard one tries in a relationship, it probably won’t last if the girl has an irrational attraction to public nudity. That being said, watch Miley Cyrus’ new video for Wrecking Ball below.

Joe Jonas Disses Taylor Swift: “She’s Been Dumped A Lot”
If you’re going to publicly bash all your exes for their part in your breakup, then expect a public response. Joe Jonas joins a very long list of men on Taylor Swift’s hit-list. Having allegedly dumped the singer via text message, Jonas was the subject of many angry barbs from America’s sweetheart, who perpetually bashed his botching of their breakup. Though most singers write about their personal pain, Swift has always taken it a step further, adding details to each song that alert the public to its subject. So as I said — if you’re going to dish it out, you better be able to take it. Watch the clip below. Something tells me Jonas might get another song soon.
Quote of the Day: Tom Ford on Dressing Well
“I believe if you’re meeting someone for dinner, you dress smartly to show that you respect them. I absolutely think that dressing well is an expression of manners. I think dressing well on an airplane is an expression of manners, too.” Tom Ford, on his reasons for never wanting to see me on an airplane.
Miley Cyrus Teases Wrecking Ball Premiere — Debuts Picture
What exactly is Miley Cyrus trying to accomplish? Am I to be convinced she’s grown out of her pre-pubescent image and officially entered sexy town? Though sex sells, it’s also unoriginal. There’s many ways to get attention, and parading around in a nude bikini or spreading one’s legs atop a wrecking ball, seems to be the most prosaic plead for praise. And as an aside, I can’t help but wonder about Pink’s reaction, considering Miley seems to have hijacked her entire persona (minus the original songwriting, of course).
Simon Cowell on Britney Spears: “She Couldn’t Talk”
While I appreciate honestly, I’m not certain this was necessary. When asked by Ellen DeGeneres about Britney Spears, Cowell confessed to nixing her contract, saying, “I didn’t realize that. I kind of booked someone who couldn’t talk, which is a bit of a problem when you want someone to judge.” He went on to explain that Spears was generally uncomfortable with the entire process, disliking the overall negativity associated with the talent competition. I supposed there’s a lesson to be learned here. Perhaps producers should focus less on stunt casting and more on judging. And since The Voice, X Factor, and American Idol have yet to produce a huge star in years, it’s also possible the format is dying.
