Ali Landry Tells Wendy Williams Mario Lopez Cheated — GASP!

When Ali Landry filed for an annulment just two weeks after marrying Mario Lopez, people speculated he cheated on her. Neither party confirmed it, until Mario Lopez went on Howard Stern and basically said he only married Landry because he “was given an ultimatum.” He admitted to cheating, but he showed zero remorse. I always wondered why Landry didn’t take the opportunity to publicly bash him, because after all, what’s the point of being famous if you can’t bash your exes on national television? Apparently, Landry finally got the celebrity-memo, and she finally discussed her breakup with Wendy Williams. Watch below.

CT v. Diem on MTV’s Battle of the Exes: Rehash Their Breakup

Chris “CT” Tamburello and Diem Brown had the greatest love story ever captured on television and quite possibly the saddest, most frustrating breakup. From the bits and pieces I gathered, Diem dumped him for her “career,” telling him that they should revisit their relationship in five years time. CT moved on, and Diem later saw him on a reunion show, which included an overflow of tears and proclamations, such as, “I thought I was going to marry you.” Well, Diem — if you thought you wanted to marry the guy — then you sure made a big mistake dumping him, didn’t you? When MTV reunited the former lovebirds, I was sure they’d get back together. But when CT refused to make a move on Diem, she was clearly upset. CT finally said, “You dumped me. You don’t want me. Why are you torturing me?” Diem then cried like a teenager instead of listening to his point, followed by calling him a “monster.” CT then said, “I’m stuck with a psycho ex-girlfriend who is trying to nag me to death, and I can’t escape.” Despite Diem’s very convincing woe-is-me pity parade, I’m on CT’s side. If you didn’t want him, then don’t be surprised that he doesn’t want you. Fast forward to the 21 minute mark to see the insanity begin. And then take a moment to appreciate that God made such a beautiful blue-eyed specimen of a man known as CT. They sure don’t look that way where I come from.

Quote of the Day — Reese Witherspoon on Ryan Phillipe Divorce

“That period in my life was a challenge but you feel so much stronger once you pick up the pieces and make a new world for yourself. You rethink a lot of things and you develop a much sharper sense of what is going to make you happy. Many people go through crossroads in their lives, times where everything falls apart and you don’t know what to do next. But you learn so much and it makes decisions easier going forward.” Reese Witherspoon on healing from divorce

Gotye Performs “Somebody That I Used to Know” for VH1’s “You Oughta Know” Live Series

This song never gets old. I especially love Kimbra’s contribution, because just as you begin to feel sorry for Gotye’s post-breakup depression, she swoops in to undermine him with the line, “Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over.” Watch below.

Vintage Quote of the Day — Justin Timberlake on Britney Spears Cheating on Him

“I’ve had my heart broken plenty of times. Three times, actually. I was fifteen the first time. She cheated on me, and I broke up with her. That’s reason enough, right? ‘Oops, sorry, see you.’ I’d been going with her for a year. The second one I saw for a year and a half. And the third one” – and here he paused, thinking of Spears – “was for three and a half years. It was the same with her as with the first girl who broke my heart and the second. They’ve all gone down the same way. All of them. Three strikes, I’m out. I mean, she has a beautiful heart, but if I’ve lost my trust in someone, I don’t think it’s right for me to be with them. I’m not going to let my baggage with somebody else become my baggage with a new person. But I’ll tell you, man, I have little, little hope. Three strikes. Little hope.” Justin Timberlake told Rolling Stone in 2003 about Britney Spears shortly after their breakup.

Seal Tells Piers Morgan About Heidi Klum Reconciliation — Possible but not Probable

The most painful kind of breakup is the one that occurs when you’re still in love but can’t make it work. And judging by Seal’s conversation with Piers Morgan, he’s going through that very thing.  I’m impressed by his ability to discuss the situation without losing his cool. He’s certainly one of the classiest celebrities I’ve seen. Watch below.

Kris Humphries & Kim Kardashian’s Marriage Troubles on TV — Watch it Unravel

There comes a point in almost every relationship when the things you loved about someone become the things you hate. Usually, that point happens after a few years together. But in Kim Kardashian’s case, it happened after a few months. The producers of Kourtney & Kim Take New York are editing Kris Humphries to look terrible, but both parties are clearly to blame. How do you marry someone without first deciding where to live? And also — who takes a bath in full makeup? Watch after the jump.

Music Spotlight On: Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’

Without breakups, there would be no breakup songs. And without breakup songs, there wouldn’t be Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know.” The song was written by Wouter De Backer (or “Gotye”), an Australian musician who is primarily known for his work with the indie pop band, The Basics. It appears on his third studio album, ‘Making Mirrors,’ and the music video below has over ten million YouTube hits. If you’ve ever had a breakup where your long-term partner abruptly cut-off all communication, then the video is especially haunting. Halfway through the song Gotye is joined by Kimbra, who tells her side of the breakup story. My favorite lyric is “you can be addicted to certain kind of sadness.” Watch below, and buy the album.
