Megan Fox v. Michael Bay: The Quote Showdown – A Timeline
In honor of Megan Fox’s departure from Transformers 3, I have listed all of the quotes from both Michael Bay and Megan Fox, to illustrate just how much these two hated each other. Grab your popcorn and start reading!
Megan Fox on ‘Transformers’ in General – Entertainment Weekly Interview (June 2009):
“The humans are secondary to the robots because it’s a movie about robots… People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting. And once you realize that, it becomes almost fun because you can be in the moment and go, ‘All right, I know that when he calls Action! I’m either going to be running or screaming, or both.'”
Michael Bay Responds to Megan Fox’s Entertainment Weekly Interview – Wall Street Journal Interview (June 2009)
“Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, “Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.” But I 100% disagree with her. Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in “Armageddon.” Shia LaBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did “Transformers”—and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from “Bad Boys.” Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in “Transformers.” I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.”
Megan Fox on what it’s like to work for Michael Bay – Wonderland Magazine interview (September 2009):
“God, I really wish I could go loose on this one. He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he’s a tyrant. Shia and I almost die when we make a Transformers movie. He has you do some really insane things that insurance would never let you do.”
Michael Bay’s Crew Responds to Megan Fox’s “Hitler” Comments – His Website (September 2009)
“When facing the press, Megan is the queen of talking trailer trash and posing like a porn star. And yes we’ve had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set, and yes, it’s very cringe-able. So maybe, being a porn star in the future might be a good career option. But make-up beware, she has a paragraph tattooed to her backside (probably due her rotten childhood) — easily another 45 minutes in the chair!”

Michael Bay Takes Down His Crew’s Nasty Letter and Posts a New Comment (September 2009):
“I don’t condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don’t condone Megan’s outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3.”
Michael Bay’s Letter to Megan Fox When he Announced the Date for Transformers 3 (October 2009):
“P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you”
Michael Bay Insists he Likes Megan Fox – Interview With USA Today (November 2009):
“I love her,” the man responsible for the blockbuster franchise told USA TODAY’s Andrea Mandell. “It’s just, she’s young. Everyone’s got to give her a break, she only…23? It’s just hard. I’ve traveled around the world with her and she’s just like this world symbol now, you know?” So he brushes her diatribes under the carpet? “Absolutely,” he said. “She called me (after the Hitler comment) and goes, ‘It’s all bullsh—t, Mike.’ The press, they just like to prey, and stalk, and pounce and find a good little juicy thing. But she’s always wanted to do these crazy comments. That’s just her. She’s great.” He also said, “She’s got a great part in Transformers 3,” and he said he’s currently working on the script. So Bay’s not planning on getting revenge by, say, killing her off? “No, no. no,” he said, dismissing it. “She gets enough of that already.”
Megan Fox on Michael Bay making her tan- Allure magazine interview (May 2010):
“I had been tanning a lot so that Michael would be happy with my skin tone. Every spare moment of sun that was outside, I had to be in it,” the 24-year-old actress lamented in Allure magazine. “It’s not going to happen again because of the damage and the possible skin cancer.”
Deadline Hollywood Reports that Megan Fox Got the Axe (yesterday):
Nikki Finke reports: “I’ve just learned that Paramount won’t be picking up Megan Fox’s option on Transformers 3 — and that it was “ultimately” director Michael Bay’s decision.”
Megan Fox Insists She Quit Transformers and Wasn’t Fired:
“It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best.”
Michael Bay Fires Megan Fox on ‘Transformers 3’ – Did She Want to be Fired?!
Jonathan Alperyrie is Whitney Port’s Mysterious French Photographer on ‘The City’
After scouring the internet for way too long, I discovered the name of the steamy French photographer that shot Whitney Port’s look book on last night’s ‘The City.’ His name is Jonathan Alpeyrie, and I’ve listed his website below. I dedicated such an insane amount of time locating his name because . . . well, I’m pretty shallow and he’s very good looking. Aside from that, he really is talented. I hope that Whitney will come to her senses and go on another date with the guy, but after seeing her eyes glaze over when he brought up a heavy subject involving something other than clothes and glitter, I imagine she’ll stay uninterested. Sigh – perhaps she’ll find someone she has more in common with.

Desperate Housewives Spoiler: Kyle MacLachlan is Leaving the Show
This news certainly shocked me. Kyle MacLachlan or “Orson Hodge” will be leaving ‘Desperate Housewives’ after four seasons with the show. If you watch ‘Desperate Housewives’, you might have noticed that his character is extremely under-used, so either he was fired because Marc Cherry couldn’t dream up a compelling story-line, or he asked to leave because he felt creatively stifled. Either way, I’m disappointed. Perhaps it’s my love for ‘Sex and the City’ that attached me to his character, but its always upsetting when a series regular leaves the show.
Angelina Leaves ‘Jersey Shore’ House
It looks like we can expect the new season of ‘Jersey Shore’ to deliver the drama. In a repeat of Season 1, Angelina has left the house. Apparently, the entire cast hates her and doesn’t understand why she was invited back for the second season. This might be the reason for her exit. I guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
Gossip Girl Executive Producer Confirms Taylor Momsen Was Crying Real Tears
Gossip Girl Executive Producer Stephanie Savage sat down with Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly to discuss the shocking season finale. When asked if it was Taylor Momsen’s tears or Jenny Humphrey’s, Savage confirmed that it was Momsen’s real tears. “That’s what it really looks like if a girl with raccoon eyes cries that much,” she said. “There was nothing we could do.” She also confirmed that Momsen would return to the show at some unspecified point. Ausiello didn’t ask the one plaguing question though: was it a creative or personal decision to write Jenny Humphrey off the show? I’m guessing that they kicked her out to give her some time to get her life together, as she looks extremely emaciated and out of it on the show lately. I could be wrong though. I’ve attached an older picture of Taylor Momsen so you can get a feel for the “before and after” I keep referencing.
Jimmy Kimmel Throws Howard Stern an A-List Party – Hilarity Ensues
Howard Stern spent the weekend in Los Angeles while promoting his wife’s book (‘Oh My Dog’), and Jimmy Kimmel decided to throw him a welcome party. Kimmel appeared on Stern today to discuss the party, and it was some of Stern’s most hilarious radio yet. My favorite detail involved an argument between John Stamos and Mark McGrath, where Stamos got angry with “musician” McGrath for his inability to play any songs for their shitty house band ensemble. Stern insists that Stamos’ anger was unfounded, because at least everyone could play the song ‘Louie Louie’. Stamos also gave both Kimmel and Stern shit for not inviting Don Rickles, who was peeved at both Kimmel and Stern for the oversight. Oh yeah – Jeff Probst left in a tizzy because of Stern’s inappropriate attempt to interview him about his new girlfriend at the party. Other celebrity guests included: Ben Stiller; Christine Taylor; Natalie Maines; Ryan Phillipe; Will Arnett; Amy Poehler; Christa Miller; Bill Lawrence; Bob Iger; Ashton Kutcher; and Demi Moore. I’ve got to become friends with Jimmy Kimmel in time for the next Howard Stern party. Knowing Stern though, he probably won’t return to Los Angeles for another 15 years. Watch Beth Stern promote her book on Kimmel below.
Brett Ratner Insists ‘X-Men 3’ Was a Good Movie
Let me start this post by explaining that I am deliberately picking on Brett Ratner because I have it on VERY good authority that he is the biggest douchebag on the planet. That being said, in an interview with Iesb to promote his remix of ‘Kites’, Ratner was asked if he’d change anything about ‘X-Men 3’ if he had it to do over. His response? “No. I loved it! I’m right, and they’re wrong.” Wow, so he’s now a dumb douchebag? ‘X-Men 3’ was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, and he single handedly tanked the entire franchise. I’m glad he learns from his mistakes.
Christina Aguilera on Lady Gaga: "I like her – I Really, Really Promise I Do"
Christina Aguilera has once again found herself in the midst of a Lady Gaga scandal. She took to her website to refute what she deems an imaginary “feud.” First of all, I enjoy Aguilera’s doe-eyed innocence in this matter. She’s like a little baby bird that was dragged into a giant mess and has no idea how she got there. Should we forget all about the nasty comments that Aguilera made about Gaga in the past? She once said, “I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman.” She perpetuated the feud recently when she referred to Gaga as a “newcomer” to OUT magazine (which is why she was forced to apologize on her website). I think Aguilera can’t take the heat of the press, and the anger forces her to get nasty. She once referred to Britney Spears as a “lost little girl.” Here’s my message to Aguilera’s PR team: if you are going to apologize – actually apologize. Don’t blame the media and the public for this feud. You made some disgusting comments and now it’s time to own up. Read her “apology” below.
Here’s her quote:
I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention this morning. It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that. There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods. This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist but it will be the last time I comment on the matter.
“Can’t hold us down….”
With love,
C/X
