NBC aired Adele’s November performance at Rockefeller Center, and the powerhouse performer’s 45-minute set included songs form her record-breaking album, along with hits from ’21’ and her signature Skyfall song. Adele once said that if her ’21’ record is a breakup album, then this is a “makeup” album. Given that I’ve experienced far less tears this time around, she’s probably right. That is of course, except for “When We Were Young,” which caused some serious tears.
Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth sent tongues wagging with their lip lock toward the end of their AMA performance, but the spicy twosome insist it was all simply for show, and they are just friends. You know what they say . . .true love begins with an ass grab.
Dressed in all black and rocking red lipstick, Gwen Stefani belted out “Used to Love You,” an emotional ballad off her new solo record, which is presumably about Gavin Rossdale’s alleged affair with their nanny. Blake Shelton tweeted support for his new girlfriend, despite not attending the event.
Apparently Selena Gomez isn’t so sick of that “Same Old Love,” because she recently reunited with Justin Bieber, for the 105th time. And while her performance and choregraphy was shockingly good, I can’t help but feel disturbed by what appears to be a pre-pubescent looking girl dancing around the stage in booty shorts.
Proving that they’re being handed some of the best songs in the business, One Direction harmonized their way through “Perfect,” sans Zayn Malik, who tweeted a curious message about their win.
Just about everyone has attempted to emulate Alanis Morissette’s bad-ass breakup anthem, “You Oughta Know,” so it’s only fitting that Demi Lovato would illustrate its impact with an all-black getup and some very dramatic facial expressions while joining her on stage. The beauty of Alanis is her pulled-back pesonality coupled with her cutting lyrics, so Demi’s performance was a little too obvious for my taste. That being said, it’s worth the watch.
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s marriage was constantly plagued by breakup rumors, but just as questions began to fade, the country couple announced their split. And things got ugly fast. Shelton accused Lambert of cheating and subsequently dumped her belongings on his porch, telling her she had just days to pick it up.
GWEN STEFANI AND GAVIN ROSSDALE
Though their marriage always seemed solid, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announced their split, and infidelity accuasions quickly followed. According to sources, Rossdale carried on a three-year affair with their nanny, which she discovered via text-syncing between Apple devices. Tabloids had previously question Rossdale’s oddly close relationship with the nanny, but the couple was quick to deny it.
BEN AFFLECK AND JENNIFER GARNER
When America’s sweetheart and the new ‘Batman’ broke up, the world was shocked. The couple had been spotted together numerous times just before their split, and they seemed happy. It was later revealed that they had been seperated for some time and continued to carry on a united split for their children. Affleck allegedly lives in their guest house to stay closer to their three kids. Rumors of a nanny affair also circulated, but were quickly squashed by the actor’s rep.
SEAN PENN AND CHARLIZE THERON
When Sean Penn called Charlize Theron “the love of his life,” and vice versa, the public naturally assumed the engaged couple would make it to the alter. Sources reveal that things began to deteriorate when Penn directed Theron in his upcoming film, as she didn’t take kindly to his on-set behavior. They had to awkwardly reunite for re-shoots, but it looks as if these two won’t reunite.

With 26 years and a successful business partnership between them, it shocked country-music insiders when Reba McEntire announced her split with husband and manager, Narvel Blackstock. The power couple vow to remain friends. They share one son, and Narvel has three children from his previous marriage, one of which is married to Kelly Clarkson.
EMMA STONE AND ANDREW GARFIELD
After four years and two Spiderman films between them, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield went their seperate ways. They had previously called it quits, but this one seems like it will stick. According to the couple, they just couldn’t make it work.
Celebrity lives can serve as a model of do’s and dont’s, especially during times of divorce. And Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have taught us some very serious lessons. Here’s an easy-to-read list of advice for both cheaters and victims of cheating.
1. Victim: Only hire unattractive or elderly nannies to care for your children. Unless, of course, if your husband is Arnold Schwarzenegger, and then all the rules are off the table.
2. Cheater: Learn about the iCloud.
3. Victim: If your husband puts his hand on your nanny’s ass while hiking, BE CONCERNED.
4. Cheater: Use snapchat for naked pictures. What else is it for?
5. Victim: If your nanny starts to steal your style ideas, that’s probably not the only thing about your life she wants to steal.
6. Cheater: If your wife is a super-hot songwriter who will likely write music about you, perhaps you should thing twice about cheating.
7. Victim: If you’ve sadly been cheated on, your next boyfriend should not be a man whose last marriage began from an affair.

Jennifer Aniston didn’t take too kindly to the shock surrounding her John Mayer romance, insisting they adored each other and dismissing the eight year age difference. Mayer ran his mouth about their relationship, and the couple split shortly thereafter. He has since dated just about everyone in Hollywood.

David Copperfield worked his magic on Claudia Schiffer after calling her on stage during one of his acts. Their quick collaboration turned into a 6 year engagement, which ended in 1999. They said their busy work schedules were to blame.

When America’s sweetheart ended up with outspoken bad boy Jesse James, people were less than pleased, but the backlash died down when she vouched for their bond during many interviews and acceptance speeches. When Dudley Moore and Susan Anton stepped on the scene, much was made of their drastic height difference, with Anton nearly eight inches taller. Their romance was short-lived (no pun intended).

Ryan Reynolds has proposed three times to date, beginning with Alanis Morissette, whom he dated for five years before calling it quits in 2007. Less than a year later, Reynolds was engaged to Scarlett Johansson. He is now married to Blake Lively. Morissette admits that her album “Flavors of Entanglement,” is inspired by the grief associated with their breakup.

Juliette Lewis has spent a long time talking about her former boyfriend of four years in her teens, Brad Pitt. According to Lewis, she doesn’t quite understand the fascination.

Drew Barrymore and Tom Green’s whirlwind romance ended just months after they married. Though Green rarely discusses what went wrong, he admits that their issues surfaced while planning the wedding but they went through with it anyhow. They no longer keep in touch.

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton’s weird romance made some serious waves, most notably when the creepy couple wore vials of each other’s blood around their necks as an expression of love. Their public displays of affection also caused concern, with many suggesting that the red carpet might not be the best place for sloppy tongue kisses. The couple divorced soon after Angelina adopted her first child, and Thornton later admitted that her success stalled the relationship, as he simply couldn’t handle it. She removed the tattoo of his name, but the two still remain friends.
When asked about her “biggest money mistakes” during an appearance on CNBC’s Closing Bell, Jessica Simpson joked about her “first marriage,” to Nick Lachey. Her answer is interesting on numerous levels. First, when Jessica married Nick Lachey, he was the primary earner, having made a lot of money with 98 Degrees. As a result, her father encouraged her to forgo a pre-nup, with the obvious assumption that it wasn’t in her interest. She didn’t anticipate that the financials would quickly turn and that decision would later work against her. At the time, rumors circulated that Lachey was a gentleman in his departure, taking home less than $1.5 million. Judging by Jessica’s joke, those rumors might not have been accurate. Watch below.
TMZ named Chris Young as a contributing factor to Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s divorce, and the country singer has now responded to the allegations on twitter, explaining that he is a friend with both, and “would never do anything to betray that friendship.” While that’s a nice soundbite, it’s either untrue, or Blake Shelton doesn’t believe it, because I would bet my bank account on the fact that his team leaked the cheating news to TMZ, after being fed up with his name getting dragged through the mud amidst his own cheating rumors. And given that this is one of the fastest divorces I’ve seen, bad blood is believable. As for why Lambert would allegedly cheat, who knows. We aren’t inside their marriage, and there are three sides to every story.
Scott Disick’s recent rendezvous with an ex-girlfriend gained national attention, with many suggesting that his “cheating” was the final straw in his already rocky relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. Though the Kardashian spin machine is deep at work, The Dishmaster smells a rat. First, not even Scott Disick is dense enough to openly flirt with an ex while on vacation. Where was his baby Mamma in the mix, and why would he be so casual about getting caught? And if it’s true, as the Kardashian clan suggests, that Disick’s partying played into this rumored “betrayal,” he certainly didn’t look drunk in those pictures. Instead, he looked like a man affectionately touching his new girlfriend, who I can only guess he’s been seeing for some time.
My uneducated guess is that Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have been separated for months, and in an effort to save face, both parties kept their status a secret. Scott’s only “betrayal” would be his very open display of affection prior to giving his partner an opportunity to release a public statement. Disick might be an alcoholic in need of serious help, but that doesn’t make him a cheater. As for the idea that there’s a common law marriage that could cost Kourtney millions, it’s going to be a long road for Disick, who would have to prove certain strict standards, which likely don’t apply.
