Star Jones on Joy Behar — No More Bad Blood?

Star Jones appeared on Joy Behar’s HLN show to promote her new book, Satan’s Sisters, and I was shocked to discover that she appeared agreeable and friendly. I’ve been picking on Star Jones a lot lately, mostly due to her poor behavior on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. I was also shocked to discover that this interview took place at all. Star left The View in a very dramatic fashion, disclosing to the press that she was “fired” and announcing her departure before the producers had originally planned. Translation? — She pissed everyone off. Since then, she’s apparently become PR savvy, because everyone knows if you want to clear your image, you return to the scene of the crime. Since she’s likely banned from The View for eternity, Joy Behar’s show is the next best step. Watch the interview below.

Sherri Shepherd Sends Jesus Cards to Jews

I’ve heard Sherri Shepherd mention this before, and it’s so annoying I’m surprised I didn’t post about it the first time around.  When discussing what cards to send to friends during holiday season, Shepherd says she consistently sends Christmas cards that mention Jesus because “that’s what she believes in.”  When Behar asked if she sends those cards to her Jewish friends, Shepherd said yes, followed by the same ridiculous explanation.  First of all, may I just say that I find it absolutely infuriating when I’m given Christmas cards?  You guessed it — I’m a Jew.  I don’t believe in Jesus, and I don’t want your Jesus card!  Second, it’s incredibly selfish to use your own holiday as a barometer for what card to send out.  Allow me to use an analogy for Sherri Shepherd.  Should I give my friend who is allergic to chocolate a big box of chocolates for the holidays?  After all, that’s what I eat!  And if I eat chocolate, then she should too, right?

Tim Gunn on Kim Kardashian’s Looks: “As Soon as She Moves, It’s All Over”

You have to admire the chutzpah of Tim Gunn.  The man has no fear, and the vintage interview below is no exception.  Joy Behar asked him what he thought of the Kardashian “look,” and he said that their style is “vulgar, cheap, and tawdry.”  When Behar said they are “sweet girls,” and they have appeared on her show, Gunn asked how they were dressed.  Behar said Kim looked pretty and Tim said, “she’s pretty but she’s a poser.  As soon as she moves it’s all over.”  I’m not sure what he means exactly, but it sounds pretty funny.  Does he mean that her ass is so large, he becomes distracted when she begins to walk?  I’m not sure, but I love Tim Gunn more and more every day.

Can the Ladies of ‘The View’ Stop Discussing Abortion?

I don’t know a lot of stuff.  But what I do know is that we will never agree on abortion.  I realize that pro-lifers think they can change minds by showing people pictures of fetuses, but I don’t think that works any better than members of PETA showing people videos of chickens being tortured.  You’re either pro-life or pro-choice, and that is that.  I often wonder if they bring up the topic just to test Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s ability to keep her head from exploding.  I’m sick of hearing the topic debated.  Has anyone ever witnessed someone discuss the topic and change their mind in the middle?  I’ve posted an old clip below — but trust me — it’s one of about five thousand discussions on The View about the issue.

Denise Richards Talks Charlie Sheen on Joy Behar

Denise Richards has been on my radar lately, mostly because she changed her image so drastically in the press. For a long time, Richards was accused of stealing her best friend’s husband, and no matter how many times she insisted otherwise, she was trounced by the media (including the very judgmental Matt Lauer). With Charlie Sheen’s arrest, I assumed that Richards would re-hash her life with him, and further confirm that she was right to file for divorce. Instead, she has stayed quiet, insisting that she was “there for him in the hospital,” and she has some very beautiful memories of their life together. I officially love her. Good job handling this mess Denise.  Watch the video below to hear her discuss the sensitive topic.

Joy Behar on Sharron Angle: “This B*tch is Going to Hell”

The View discussed Sharron Angle’s racist new ad, and Joy Behar didn’t mince words, calling Sharron Angle a “bitch,” and saying she will “go to hell.”  She also invited her to “show the ad in New York,” because New Yorkers might have a different reaction than Nevada.  I admit I had not seen the ad until watching The View, and I was shocked at how disgusting it is.  It’s obvious that just about anything goes these days, including racism.  Watch below and judge for yourself.  Will Sharron Angle “go to hell,” as Joy Behar suggests?

Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar Walk off The View — Act Like Children

Bill O’Reilly appeared on The View, and when the subject of the mosque came up, O’Reilly insulted President Obama for not publicly denouncing it.  When Behar and Goldberg insisted that the mosque was okay because “this is America,” O’Reilly said that 70% of Americans don’t approve of the mosque, especially because “Muslims killed us in 9/11.”  His statement outraged Goldberg and Behar, who insisted that it was Muslim extremists and not Muslims who are responsible for 9/11, and O’Reilly said, “aren’t Muslim extremists considered Muslim?”  His response caused Behar and Goldberg to walk off the set, which seriously pissed off Barbara Walters (who I often call “the Queen”).  Walters said that they should be able to discuss issues without her co-hosts screaming and exiting the set.  I agree.  For goodness sakes, isn’t it Walters that interviewed Fidel Castro?  Should she have bludgeoned him with a stick during the interview?  I imagine that Behar and Goldberg will get a serious tongue lashing from Walters, who previously scolded Hasselbeck for the same thing during a discussion on abortion, which angered Hasselbeck so much that she ripped up her flashcards during the interview. Watch the heated exchange below.

Perez Hilton Defends Himself to Joy Behar – I’m Done With Him

I listened to Perez defend himself, and it further convinced me that I am finished with him altogether.  I started reading Perez about four years ago, mainly because everyone in the entertainment industry passed it around as their guilty pleasure.  He had original content, he was breaking stories, and he was pushing boundaries.  Years passed, and he went from being unconventional to straight up mean, which is unacceptable.  You should never make fun of someone for something they cannot control.  So when you use your blog to literally call people ugly, or pick on an individual that is clearly in the midst of a personal crisis/breakdown (i.e. Britney Spears), I draw my line in the sand.  The Miley Cyrus situation solidified my outrage.  The paparazzi are disgusting vultures of humanity that will continue to prey on people and invade their personal space until the California legislature gets its act together and passes a law to prevent them from endangering celebrities and all innocent bystanders around those celebrities.  The only reason they are able to continue making money off crotch shots, is because people like Perez are posting them, or “linking to them.”  Now I know these celebrities are not entirely innocent.  Miley Cyrus is old enough and savvy enough to know that the paparazzi will attempt to get crotch shots, and she therefore should use her brain and wear some pants.  That being said, it doesn’t excuse this behavior.  And no matter who started it, it’s time to stop perpetuating it.  It’s disgusting. Watch his “explanation” below.
