Since Teri Hatcher is one of my favorite talk-show guests, I’m posting her very funny description of her date with Ryan Seacrest below. Hatcher told Wendy Williams that she and Seacrest were set up on a blind date by a friend who is now “off the blind date set-up list.” Yikes! To be fair, though — didn’t she know what she was getting into when she consented to the date? Or did her friend simply say, “I’m going to set you up with this really cheesy guy who hosts this really cheesy show?”

Randy Jackson Calls ‘The Voice’ Gimmicky — Gives Very Funny Quote
I just came across this quote from Randy Jackson about ‘The Voice,’ and I have to share it. When asked what he thinks of the new singing show, Jackson called it “gimmicky.” Then he said (and here comes the good part), “Maybe Simon Cowell should have people opening doors. Like, ‘Knock, knock; Who’s singing? I can’t see you!'” Who knew Jackson was such a jokester! I also think the show is gimmicky, but I must admit it’s a guilty pleasure. Besides, I’d rather have a gimmicky show that’s entertaining than the reformed version of American Idol — which sucks.
Adele’s Ex-Boyfriend Wanted Song Royalties — Ex From Hell?
I must admit, I’ve dated some jerks. That being said, I think Adele’s jerks beat mine. In a recent interview, Adele revealed that her heart-breaker ex-boyfriend demanded royalties for the music she wrote about him. Of his demand, Adele said, “he was deadly serious about it.” Come to think of it — Adele’s ex is pretty creative — none of my exes would have thought of that.
Britney Spears Harper’s Bazaar — Airbrushed Beyond Recognition?
I’m not against airbrushing an imperfection here and there, but when you airbrush someone’s entire face beyond recognition, I draw the line. There’s a girl on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar this month, and I can’t figure out if it’s Heather Morris or Britney Spears. Her face is so insanely airbrushed, which is confusing considering how pretty Britney Spears is without all that crap. Can this garbage please end? What happened to the days when photographers were responsible for actually taking a decent picture, and couldn’t rely on this post-photo machinery? Isn’t it cheating?
Jon Stewart Gives Bill O’Reilly the Smackdown — Discuss Rapper Common
On a recent Bill O’Reilly appearance, Jon Stewart further escalated my love for him by trouncing Bill O’Reilly in a debate about rapper Common. According to O’Reilly, Common should not have been invited to the White House because he supports a “cop killer.” O’Reilly is referring to Common’s support for Assata Shakur. Stewart rightly pointed out that Common is supporting Shakur because he thinks she’s innocent, and not because he generally supports killing cops. Stewart also added that Bono wrote a song about Leonard Peltier, and Bono was invited to the White House, as was Bob Dylan, who wrote a song about Hurricane Carter. Watch Bill O’Reilly attempt to “pettifog” his way out of Jon Stewart’s comparisons.

Donald Trump NOT Running For President — SHOCKER!
Did anyone actually think that Donald Trump was serious about running for President? The most surprising thing about this entire debacle is that news outlets actually took the time to report his antics. I take that back. The most surprising thing is that President Obama actually released his birth certificate, as per Trump’s recommendation. What’s next? Will Richard Simmons run for President and demand that Obama run around in little shorts?
Rob Lowe Angry with ‘The Outsiders’ — Is Rob Lowe too Sensitive?
How many times does Rob Lowe need to discuss a career grievance before he realizes that he might be the problem? In a recent interview to promote his new book, Lowe revealed that many of his scenes from ‘The Outsiders’ were cut, and he’s “never forgiven them for that.” This revelation can be added to the long list of Lowe career -whines. During a recent appearance on ‘The View,’ Lowe said he left ‘The West Wing’ because “they gave everyone but him a raise.” If you know anything about the entertainment industry, then you know that raises are built into actors’ contracts, which means that simply isn’t possible. It is possible; however, that they gave other actors a larger raise than Lowe, leading him to leave the show in a huff. And what about ‘Brothers and Sisters’? Rumor has it Lowe left the show because he felt his character was under utilized, and he asked to be released from his contract. Something tells me that Rob Lowe is too sensitive for the industry. That being said, I’ll allow him to cry on my shoulder. The man sure is yummy.
Demi Lovato Shows Bikini Body on Twitter — Brave and Terrifying
I’ve been vocal about my aversion to unnecessary twitter revelations, but I’ll make an exception for Demi Lovato, who has been extremely vocal about her body image issues. In fact, Lovato recently went to rehab for such issues, and apparently — the rehab worked. Nothing says fully healed like showing the entire world what you look like in a bikini. Though I’ve never had an eating disorder myself, that doesn’t mean I don’t make a valiant attempt to walk out of every room backwards. Glee Covers Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ — Better Version?
When I first listened to Rebecca Black’s much buzzed about song, ‘Friday, I was extremely confused. “This song is abominable,” I thought. So you can imagine my horror when I heard that ‘Glee’ would cover the song. I watched the episode, and as it turns out, the song isn’t so bad after all. It just goes to show you — get the right machine behind a song, and you can transform it. Listen below.
