Aimee Osbourne once said that her mother’s fame was at the expense of her father’s legacy, which is ever-the-more accurate given the revelations surrounding Ozzy’s recent affair. Aimee’s disinterest in the Osbourne’s now legendary reality show forced her to move out of her family’s home during a key time in her development, but her family carried forth with the plan regardless. In short? She seems normal, and the rest of the family does not. That includes Kelly Osbourne, who recently tweeted the phone number of her father’s alleged mistress. I need not explain why this is a bad idea, or why it’s odd to publicize one’s private business in this way. I don’t even think the Kardashians would stoop to this level (Well . . . maybe Rob).

With a medley of her most-loved hits, Britney Spears took the stage of the Billboard Music Awards to remind the world that she’s still got it, and those other b-tches can bow down. Though she entered the stage slightly stiff, she quickly loosened up for some eye-catching choreography amidst seasoned dancers while performing “Work Bitch,” “Womanizer,” “I Love Rock N’ Roll,” “Breathe On Me,” “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Touch of My Hand,” and “Toxic.” And let’s not forget those fantastic hair flips. It’s easy to root for Britney Spears, whose sweet disposition has always made her a fan favorite and her tragedy to triumph story certainly helps. Career comebacks are rare, but if anyone can do, it’s Britney. Plus, she has an astounding amount of hits, and the performance below will remind you of it.
I always knew Stacy Ekstein was a force to be reckoned with, so when she told me about Market Street Productions’ (“MSP”) latest venture with Mar Vista Entertainment to produce ‘Seduced’ for Lifetime Movie Network I was not surprised. Stacy and AFI alum Chris Ekstein co-founded MSP in 2005, and if that’s not enough for their action-packed schedule, Stacy started a film division this year with the dream of producing quality content from Hollywood’s top female talent. With many talented female players on the bill, ‘Seduced’ does just that.
The movie is the directorial feature debut of American Film Institute graduate Jessica Janos, and it stars Elisabeth Röhm (Joy, American Hustle). The film follows Caroline, whose “Missed Connections” response on Craigslist leads to a whirlwind romance with a man leading a secret life. As a single mother, Röhm identified with the storyline, explaining that she understands forgetting about one’s own personal needs to care for family, and she was “compelled by that truthful exploration of what it would be like to become awake again.” Röhm also agrees with the importance of featuring female talent, saying, “the movement still hasn’t changed enough for women in this industry.”
As two leading women on production, director Jessica Janos and producer Stacy Ekstein had a great respect for one another. “Stacy is the best producer I have ever worked with,” says Janos. She has a great creative instinct and is not afraid to put herself out there.” Ekstein equally admires Janos’ bold approach, saying she has an “effortless ability to overcome obstacles” which is “what makes talented directors succeed.” For Ekstein and her husband, Market Street Productions has always been about adding more diverse female talent to the Hollywood landscape. “Talent should always win out,” says Ekstein, but “we have to make sure all doors are open.”
Tune in to Lifetime May 22 at 2 AM to see ‘Seduced.’

Kanye West is an extremely talented musician, but I simply cannot make sense of his insatiable need to conquer all creative mediums. It would be too obvious to talk about the narcissism surrounding his appeal to change the world with more resources. He’s already rich, and if he can’t make a business out of his existing income absent investors, then maybe his dreams are far too big, or his execution is far too weak. Perhaps he can use his capital for charity to “make a difference” rather than a weak fashion line with boring bodycon, tonal spandex. In a new interview with Ellen, he was provoked into another ridiculous rant which only received a clap when he discussed removing bullying, which is in no way part of any actual plan. What’s next? Standing on a mountain top to promote world peace? Also, if you’re going to discuss your inspirational geniuses, think of something more original than Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, and Picasso.
Kim Kardashian finally fessed up to her inside take on Tyga and Kylie Jenner’s controversial relationship, which allegedly began while Kylie was underage and Tyga was already in a relationship with Blac Chyna. According to Kim, she was friends with Chyna but forced to take Kylie’s side because it’s her sister, thus breaking their bond. But what goes around comes around, and when Rob Kardashian began dating Chyna, Kylie and Tyga quickly broke up. As for Kim’s friendship with Chyna? Well . . . if family comes first, then they’re either going to make up, or have an extremely awkward Thanksgiving. Kudos to Chyna for getting the world’s best revenge on an ex — intentional or not.
Megyn Kelly’s interview with Donald Trump was more of a schmooze-fest than a showdown, and perhaps that’s a good thing. I have long maintained that the Kelly debate question which sparked their sparring was inappropriate, but that’s neither here nor there. Trump continued to hit her back harder on his campaign trail, and Kelly took it in stride. And to prove her cool status, she actually called Trump to squash the beef, and he complied. The interview is worth a watch, if only for the very end when Trump hilariously proclaims that if he loses, he will have viewed his entire campaign as a complete and total failure. Trump shed light on his hurt feelings, his hit-them-back harder approach to the press, and his respect for Kelly’s gesture. Watch below.
Andy Cohen has cornered the market on fun interviews, and he officially wins the award for best talk show host after having asked both Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez for their individual takes on what’s become a hilarious feud. For those that are not aware, Carey made headlines when asked about Lopez, who she passively aggressively dismissed by saying she “did not know her.” Though Carey brushed off the reaction while talking to Cohen, the real truth is there is in fact a feud and it’s based on a complicated history between the dueling divas. Having said that, her response is very funny and worth a watch.
We can all remember that awkward, infamous moment on ‘After the Final Rose’ when Nick Viall revealed his sexual liaison with Andi Dorfman in an attempt to understand how she could so quickly cast him aside in favor of her chosen suitor and now ex-fiance, Josh Murray. “If you weren’t in love with me,” Viall said, “then why did you make love with me.” Andi called it a “low blow” and Murray revealed just moments later that he wasn’t phased by the incident. The press then pounced, with obvious questions about a woman could have sex with another man just one day before riding off into the sunset with Murray. And how is it possible Murray didn’t mind? Dorfman now reveals in her new book, “It’s not okay,” that things were not as smooth as she led us to believe. In fact, Murray allegedly called her a “bitch” and a “whore” during arguments, often reminding her of her decision to sleep with another man. He also thought she was “selfish” for wanting to return to work as a an attorney. Murray is predictably unhappy with her book, saying he prays she “finds peace.” And there you have it. Perhaps a dating show is not the proper way to find the perfect partner? Who knew?
Kesha argued in court that her contract with Dr. Luke would end her career, as she’s accused him of heinous crimes. Luke has long denied the allegations and insisted he would not interfere with her comeback, and the courts agreed to uphold their agreement. So when Luke put the kibosh on her performance at the Billboard Music Awards, it made me wonder if Kesha was right. But then I learned about her plan to include a statement about their battle, which would clearly cause an issue.
While I understand the desire for an artistic, political, and legal statement, there’s simply no way Luke would allow it. His reputation is tarnished enough as it is, and if Kesha keeps renewing her accusations, it will be at the expense of Luke’s career. I realize this begs a much larger question about being forced to work with one’s alleged rapist, but as an attorney, I believe that one is innocent until proven guilty, and I see the massive danger in using the court of public opinion to convict people. Also, I’m sure Kesha’s lyrics speak for themselves.
